There are people who studied English literature among us, that's why maybe it's not my place to say this but I think he is great. I loved how he had a unique woman heroine. I remember hating Bathsheba for being stupid (!), I didn't always approved her choices. But now that I am a grown woman too, I can say "Who am I to judge" and appreciate Thomas Hardy more.
I am thinking about reading another Thomas Hardy book this year. If anyone has a recommendation for me, it will be much appreciated...
