30.5 - Dlmrose’s Task: Answered and Asked

Jeopardy! is a television game show in which contestants are presented with clues in the form of answers and must phrase their responses in the form of questions. The original daytime version debuted on NBC on March 30, 1964.

Read 2 books, one book 1 and one book 2.

Book 1: Read a book with a TITLE that could be a Jeopardy! answer.
But choose carefully…

Book 2: Read a book with a TITLE that could be a response in the form of a question to the answer proposed in your book 1 title. The response need not be technically correct, but it MUST be a reasonable answer that directly relates.

ex.
book 1, answered: Monday, Monday
book 2, asked: When Will There Be Good News?

book 1, answered: To the Lighthouse
book 2, Where'd You Go, Bernadette

book 1, answered: Mary Queen of Scots
book 2, asked: Who Do You Love

book 1, answered: Just Us
book 2, asked: Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?

A statement is a sentence that tells you something. A question is a sentence that asks you something. A statement does not require an answer. A question requires an answer.

[Question word] + auxiliary verb + subject + main verb
Can you drive?
Where do you live?

I was thinking that Androids would dream of mechanical things...and the description of Mechanica seemed to work. However, I will keep looking.

Addendum: Would Brown Girl Dreaming work?

I kinda looked at it like "Who was the stolen child", or "Who stole the child"- your decision, great challenge though

Emily | 782 comments Just to clarify, for the question in Book 2, are we able to ignore subtitles? I was thinking of using What Made Maddy Run: The Secret Struggles and Tragic Death of an All-American Teen, but it obviously only works as a question without the subtitle.
