Lesley | 59 comments Two series were written by Georgette Heyer separately - Inspector Hannasyde (4 books) and Inspector Hemingway (4 books).

The link to the series in GR

The link to Fanfiction with the books in each series

Someone has incorrectly combined two separate series into one calling the series Inspectors Hannasyde and Hemingway with a note "Inspector Hannasyde is a police superintendent in England, and Inspector Hemingway, is Hannasyde’s subordinate (both don't appear in all books)".

They are and should be separate, as in the first one, Hannasyde is the Inspector with Hemingway his subordinate. Hemingway series begins as Hannasyde retires and Hemingway becomes Inspector.

So, that makes the series title created incorrect because they both aren't Inspectors at the same time, so I'll change it back when I get the time.

I don't know how to edit the series title, so if somebody here can do that please.

TIA

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Hmm, that sounds more like they need two extra series added as the two series themselves ARE connected and in chronological order. Many readers dislike reading "later" books first, so this allows them to see the books are set that way.

This would give us:
Inspector Hannasyde
Inspector Hemingway
plus the current overarching series record.

This sounds like the best plan to me, with the two subseries then made the first series on the books.
