I read this book probably 5-10 years ago, I was young. It’s a kids novel, I believe. Honestl, it’s super fuzzy, but I think the title had to do with apples. And I remember the girl talking to the trees in her backyard, which were marked with x’s because they were going to be cut down. That’s all I remember.
