Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Uganda, rarely appearing on world news, just made it through its new tourism campaign, based on 'curvy women': https://www.sbs.com.au/news/outcry-as...
I always thought that beautiful women (and probably handsome men too) attracted tourists of the opposite gender. But speaking out about it results in an outcry.
What do you think of 'curvy women' campaign?

J.J. Mainor | 2440 comments It is a really bad idea. Only way I could see it being okay is if the country has far more women than men and the goal is to attract more men for all the lonely women...but looking at the article, I'd say that's not the case. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Uganda taking in refugees from South Sudan? So I'm not sure they're worried about bolstering their population...

Yes, I think Uganda absorbed lots of refugees.
Regarding bolstering the population, to pointedly counter migrants and refugees acceptance by the EU, the president of Hungary, for example, waives life payment of taxes to local women giving birth to 4+ children. Same zone, opposite policies

Matthew Williams (houseofwilliams) Kind of seems like what Putin said about Russian prostitutes. Pimping out your country's women to get tourists, pretty damn scummy!

Matthew Williams (houseofwilliams) That Russia has the best-looking ones.
