HI Everyone, I have started adding an author interview to each of my blogs so that I can share other authors writing process and ideas with my readers. I have a few lined up for the next couple of months, but would anyone else be interested in doing one? I like to tailor my questions for each author a little bit to make it more personal, and I can't guarantee a huge readership because its quite new, but the interest has been solid so far. If you can indicate if you're interested that would be great.

I have a few questions that might be helpful for anyone who might be interested, not just for me: - are you focused on authors of a specific genre? - is it focused on those already published or at/beyond some stage of development (such as having at least a beta version, or being just weeks of publishing, I hope you understand what I mean), or can it be someone in an earlier stage of the process? - anything else you'd like the author to know beforehand (asking for book cover image and/or the author's photo, etc.)
Anyway, good luck with your effort. If your answer to my first two questions doesn't disqualify me, I'll consider it (though I don't feel ready for it yet so probably not sooner than the second half of 2019).

I am interested but I would like to time my interview with a relaunch I plan late in the summer. Is that possible? Write me at ray315200@hotmail.com

Hi Tomas, Thanks for the questions: 1 - No particular genre is required as it's about the process and you as an author more than it is about your book. As an example of a couple of questions, I have asked: Who is the strongest character you have even created and what did you like or dislike about them? What are the highs and lows for being an author? 2 - It's not focused on those already published, but it would provide the best exposure for those that already have a book or two. I can fit in a maximum of two pictures of book covers/links and one of the author (so three photos total), and it will have one link to your favorite way of interacting with readers. Hope this helps

For your own good, don't post your e-mail address here. Do it through personal messages. You never know when some bot comes across it and decides to put your spam filter to a test.

Thanks for the answers. If you'll still be doing this when the time comes, I would be up for it when I'm ready to set up pre-orders at the earliest. Exact timing is almost impossible for me to say now, probably not sooner than late summer or early fall 2019.

I would be available, just let me know if and when you want me.

I'd enjoy something like that. I like the kinds of questions you're looking to ask. I can be available evenings or weekends, Mountain Time.

Hello. I am interested. For background my 2 books are non-fiction, the first a memoir and the second, releasing in weeks is travel-related (The Joy of Cruising). Thx

I would be interested. I released two books last year and had a drastic learning curve. Lots of self-taught options because of a nonexistent budget to get my name out there.

I've allowed this thread to remain even though it feels like self-promotion of a blog, only because another moderator already commented on it and they seem fine with it. However, now I'm deleting comments with links.
Please follow the rules of the group or I'll remove the thread. Thanks.

The original post had no links to the mentioned blog or direct self-promotion. Since it's something to eventually happen off Goodreads, I thought it okay.

It's cool, Tomas. We've all made mistakes. No, there weren't any links in the original post, but the poster is trying to draw attention to a blog, so it still is self-promotion.
The links I removed were in a couple of comments that were posted less than an hour ago. Hence, the warning.

I have a book that does not fit into any category so it is hard to know where to start, poetry for the first and then not even that, more like entering a space and experiencing the words. Not narrative but an entering. Any ideas on who would be good to review it.thnks
I'd be very interested - please let me know what you need when. :) Thanks!" OK Thanks Jessica - can you please PM me a link to your books/writing/author page? Thank you!

Hi All, if you can please send me a private message with a link to your author website, book page or some information about you as a writer please that will make things much faster from my end. I am personalising all my author interviews, so I need to get some to throw at you from what I can see about your writing. Thank you all for your offers!

V.K., I am interested in being a guest author on your blog. I'm an active member in a writing trade organization in Richmond, Virginia and have experience with helping others with the craft and business of writing.

This sound rather great and I would love to be interviewed. My point of view might be a little bit different though, for I'm German originally and just 'ended up' here, because I dared to have my first selfpublished novel translated. So if that would be interesting for you, count me in. :)
