King of Scars (Nikolai Duology #1) by Leigh Bardugo — Restarting January 2nd 2025
My copy was delivered in the mailbox yesterday, but there’s this weird system in which there’s a group mailbox for larg-ish packages (like books), and they didn’t give me the key for it. Now I can’t get the book until I find a way to get the key, ahhh.
I'm going to jump in on this if thats ok!? I was trying to finish the first 3 Grishaverse books first. Should finish book 2 today.
It feels so nostalgic (in a good way) to see these characters again. I missed them all so much!! I really love everything so far, and I can’t wait to see where Leigh Bardugo takes this <3(view spoiler)
I bought my copy today, cant wait to start it tomorrow.
So I just got sick today. So not sure how much I can read today but will try.

Read the first chapter. Really captivated me from first second
Read four chapters enjoying the new characters and the plot so far.

Everybody too bizzy to update?
I am reading but slowly I read it in bed and some nights am too tired to read.
I`m still pretty early in the book but really liking it.

I finished it today.
I agree at first it was good, it took some time for it to be great, but when it got WOW.
I loved the different pov, espesially Isak.
I agree Lara the references were very fun.

Yayyyy, so glad you enjoyed it!!!
Kind of curios what happened, were we around 5 who talked about br this in march? It ended up just being you and me.
Maybe the others forgot?
No worries it happens.

I'm not liking it too much where I'm at. And I'm so disappointed. I really wanted it to be just nikolai not nina 🙄

Nikolai Lantsov has always had a gift for the impossible. No one knows what he endured in his country’s bloody civil war—and he intends to keep it that way. Now, as enemies gather at his weakened borders, the young king must find a way to refill Ravka’s coffers, forge new alliances, and stop a rising threat to the once-great Grisha Army.
Yet with every day a dark magic within him grows stronger, threatening to destroy all he has built. With the help of a young monk and a legendary Grisha Squaller, Nikolai will journey to the places in Ravka where the deepest magic survives to vanquish the terrible legacy inside him. He will risk everything to save his country and himself. But some secrets aren’t meant to stay buried—and some wounds aren’t meant to heal.
