Jeanne (oldemill) | 431 comments As I am doing Scale Your TBR Mountain, I think I will also join this one. Anything that works to pare down the TBR list.

Example: you rolled a 7. You can read #7 on your TBR list
the book can be published in a year ending in 7
the book can be published in July (the 7th month)
the book can be the 7th in a series
the book can have a 7 in the page number.
It's up to you how the number connects with a book from your TBR list.

Jeanne, you only roll once. Then you find as many books from your TBR list that matches that number somehow that you want to read.

Or do you only roll once and the challenge is over when you run out of qualifying books? It looks like it was fortunate that I rolled number 8 both times as both books should count? Right?

This challenge is for the month of February. You keep the number you rolled for the month. If you want to it again next month, you can. You'll roll for a new number then. I'll post next month's 'Read and Reduce' around Feb. 25.

Unless your TBR list is very short, you shouldn't run out of books. There are so many ways to match the number. For examples, take a look at other participants' posts.

Could it also relate to the number based on the month and year added to your TBR list (7 for July or 2017 date added to TBR list)?

Absolutely. Check out other participant's posts to find more ways to match your number to books on your TBR list.
