I’m interested to see if Alys has a bigger role or if she had already fulfilled her purpose in the story. Also, um, Wylan’s mom is still alive!?! I keep forgetting Wylan doesn’t look like himself. (view spoiler)[ Oh, this book! During the last hundred pages or so, I was conflicted between feeling relief at finally knowing what happens and despair at the book coming to a close. I feel so sad about Matthias for Nina but that last chapter from his perspective was so beautiful even though it brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy for Wylan as well as Jesper and I love seeing how they push each other to become better, whether it be getting training as a Grisha, stopping gambling, or standing up to your father. Kaz and Inej! Oh, you make my heart go pitter patter. I absolutely loved that last scene between them and I think it's beautiful to see the small changes Kaz makes to better himself for Inej while still remaining the rascal we know and love. When Inej was facing down Dunyasha, I was really scared for a hot second, I didn't think she was going to make it out of there, but I shouldn't have worried she's wraith after all.
