I'm kind of totally cheating on this one, but I just wanted a place where I could include a post that had the covers of everything I read this year, so …

(that version of Pride of Chanur is a cover scan I uploaded myself since I couldn't find any records on file with that particular cover)

It's also a pretty great book -- one of my favorites by Cherryh.
(And that Michael Whelan painting is pretty much the standard paperback cover, but the actual author & title text on my printing were different than the ones already shown in GR.)
I'd say it's well worth checking out -- it's also relatively short (the paperback was less than 200 pages) and fast-paced.
