Dr. Andy | 10329 comments Yes you can still use it for pages Celia. And the buddy read will still double whatever pages you read in Feb :)

Bunnita (Worth Reading It?) (bunnita) | 328 comments I placed it 4 down A for author first name

message 153: by Celia (new)

Celia Buell (semi hiatus) (celiareadsbooks) | 3944 comments So I removed The Radium Girls The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore from the spreadsheet since I started and read most of it before February. My BR will still count for 2x page points for what I've read this month, but not for any of the Crossword points. It was the R in #1 across, so that space is open if anyone wants to fill it.

I read that one too, so I'm going to put it back in the spreadsheet since I read the whole thing in February. I posted my review last night.

Bunnita (Worth Reading It?) (bunnita) | 328 comments Real Mermaids Don't Hold Their Breath (Real Mermaids, #2) by Helene Boudreau
I placed this 8 across for letter R

Celia Buell (semi hiatus) (celiareadsbooks) | 3944 comments I'm not going to finish Things Fall Apart until March 4th according to the listed reading schedule for class, so if anyone wants to replace my entry on the spreadsheet (Second T in 5 down), go right ahead.

Definitely post it, because it should count for page points if nothing else.

I've moved The Cruel Prince (Cindee) to other spot (spanish edition "El príncipe cruel") letter E in 8 across and I've put your (Amina) book Keeping his Siren (Creatures of Darkness) letter C in 6 across by series name.

It would be super great if you could choose books that will fill in the remaining spots on the spreadsheet! There are a few letters that we need a lot of books for

Now it does not make sense. When I saw it, it said Italian edition. (I am not reading the Italian Edition) So I deleted I Italian Edition but realized that my book does not begin with the letter I.

Hello Bookworm. Some books have editions that all start with a different letter. It doesn't matter if you read that specific edition - it will still count. So whatever letter you had it under originally, maybe someone thought it could work better for a letter in need. Maybe their book could only work for the letter that Throne of Glass was under originally.

That being said, they probably wrote Italian edition so that whenever you finished that book and posted on your teams review thread - you would use that specific edition.

For example:

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas
Review: Add link
Buddy: Add link if you participated in one
Pages: 406
M/T: #3 Across - I using Il trono di ghiaccio

Yes, you can use other editions of your book. I've mentioned this a couple of times on the sign up thread with the examples I used and I think it might be in an answer on the Q&A thread.

message 171: by Celia (new)

Celia Buell (semi hiatus) (celiareadsbooks) | 3944 comments I'm actually a lot closer to being done with The Radium Girls The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore than I thought. Again, this will get us page points because I didn't read the whole thing in the challenge period. My next book is Hidden Figures The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race by Margot Lee Shetterly if anyone wants to BR, and the BR thread for Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe is still up, and I'll be on that through March 4.

message 172: by Celia (new)

Celia Buell (semi hiatus) (celiareadsbooks) | 3944 comments Also, if I am reading Hidden Figures The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race by Margot Lee Shetterly and someone wants to BR Hidden Figures The Untold True Story of Four African-American Women Who Helped Launch Our Nation into Space by Margot Lee Shetterly instead, will this be allowed? They are basically the same story, written by the same author, but they are listed as two separate books on Goodreads. I think the latter might have a more specific focus, and the former is more broad. Is this allowed?

Celia Buell (semi hiatus) (celiareadsbooks) | 3944 comments If anyone has anything for "L" that they plan on finishing within the next few days, you can replace my Hidden Figures The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race by Margot Lee Shetterly and I can put it in the open "U" spot for the Polish version. I still need to finish The Radium Girls The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore before I fully dive into Hidden Figures (I read the prologue, which is why I marked it as started.)

I have sinusitis, too. It's a complication from a flu. So at times my eyes gets so watery (teary?) I have to take a break from reading or computer. :(

message 198: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 10329 comments So everyone knows, we have a banked books tab for books that had to be moved off the spreadsheet so a finished book could take their place. If you finish your book that's on there then we'll find a spot for it on the SS, but we're starting to get down to very few letters left.

If your book doesn't end up being used for the M/T crossword, it will get placed on the next crossword once we get there.
