Does anyone want to Buddy Read "The Radium Girls"? It's nominated for a book award, and it's pretty long so it'd be worth a bunch of points.

I'll join in on the BR for Radium Girls as soon as a copy at the library is available. I placed a hold, but apparently it's a really popular book.

I feel like it is getting more popular, especially in the Chicago area. It is also on the Lincoln Award list, which many Illinois schools read for book clubs (that's how I started it) so that might be why there's a shortage

Gotcha checked in! Any book started on or after February 1st will count towards this challenge. Any book started before February 1st but finished in February will count ONLY towards page points.

Thank you. My trip was actually cancelled due to bad weather, so I won't be reading as much as I planned, and Meet Cute might be my only book for this week. Sorry!

Bunnita (Worth Reading It?) (bunnita) | 328 comments I have a question. Can i use the Spanish version for page count?

Bunnita (Worth Reading It?) (bunnita) | 328 comments I just finished Geekerella. I see there a g in 1 arcoss on the SS that doesn't have a review post. Or a g in 5 down. Which would you like be to go for?

message 144: by Esther (last edited Feb 17, 2019 03:44PM) (new)

Esther | 1834 comments I don't see any G spaces open.

Bunnita (Worth Reading It?) (bunnita) | 328 comments BookWorm wrote: "I don't see any G spaces open."

1 across says book as been read but thete isnt an checkmark in the last 2 boxes.

5 down has a book listed but none of the boxes have been checked. I guess it's a book someone is planning to read.

Andrea's for 1 across is a g with the last name, R with the title. Move that one to the R in 1 across and put yours in for the G

Celia Buell (semi hiatus) (celiareadsbooks) | 3944 comments So I'm not actually sure if I'll be able to use The Radium Girls The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore as a crossword since I started it in November. If I just count it for pages, can I still double that with the BR for what I've read this month, or the whole book? Or can I not use the buddy read?

Although if I can win this one on a technicality, on the rules on our spreadsheet, it does say, "If you've read a book before November, you can use the pages that you read in any of the previous months only towards page points."
