MaryG2E (goodreadscommaryg2e) | 934 comments My personal challenge for 2019 is to continue reducing my owned TBRs. I can't add new titles and authors if there's no room on the bookshelves! This year's priority is to concentrate on books of over 500 pages.

This year's priority was to concentrate on books of over 500 pages. I did not meet that priority but have knocked off 11 titles, many of which are Australian Authors. Given how little reading time was available to me in 2019, I'm happy with this result.

Sarah | 1543 comments Great job, Mary! I have three of those titles (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Lost Man and Tirra Lirra by the River) still sitting on my shelves unread, so you're three up on me, but I'm interested to see you rated all three quite well. Good luck for 2020!

I hope you get to them soon Sarah. All three are very different from each other, a bitter-sweet YA, a superb Aussie outback noir, and an important woman's lit story from the era when feminism produced many female writers. Happy reading.

Thanks Brenda. I'm looking very hard at my shelves here at home right now to see if I can knock off a whole lot more in 2020. I have no doubt you've got similar aims.
