SOLVED. Alien abduction romance - she’s rescued then kept as a mate. [s]

I read this eBook probably two to three years ago. A woman is taken hostage by really bad aliens. There’s a very large alien that keeps other abducted species as slaves. He keeps the human as a pet in a bird cage but is horrible to the other species such as raping the women. She is only saved because she’s so small. His whole tribe are awful creatures.

Another group of aliens attacks this caravan and rescues the human from the cage. But the new male leader decides to keep her. His race bites their mates and all the aliens hate that she’s human.

From what I remember it seems to be based in the dessert where everyone rides horses. He is some sort of king or leader of the lands. My memories are too vague to find this book, but I remember enjoying it as one of my first ever in the alien genres. Anyone have any idea what book I might have read?

I’m also remembering they traveled city to city because the alien was a king or something along those lines. I also recall she did him some favor by having loud sex with him in a well lit tent so his men could see shadows. His prowess gave him cred with his men. Not knowing this book is driving me bonkers!

Thank you so much! That is exactly the book I had read! This has been driving me absolutely insane for years. Reading the first few chapters again I wonder if I conflated two books into one...now I get to find out by finishing it. You rock!
