SOLVED. YA teen discovers he's gay, fails driving test multiple times. [s]

I read this book between 2003 - 2009 sometime and I think it was fairly new then. It is a YA fiction where the main character is discovering/coming to terms with being gay. His group of friends goes to a coffee shop often. He fails his driver's test at least once, I think multiple times. One of the times is because he slides through a stop sign in wintry conditions. Getting his drivers licence is a big deal (as in covered extensively in the plot). He ends up going on a date with (view spoiler)[a football player (hide spoiler)].

The title was wrapped from the front cover onto the inside flap or back cover and was worded in such a way that reading the part on the front would lead you to believe it is a straight romance and it's the last word of the title that let's you know it's a gay romance. I don't know if this would hold true, but I'm pretty sure the cover was yellow.
