Me too on Penelope West! I was wandering through the stacks at the library recently and got stuck in the W's looking at her books. Any/all that you have listed.
Kate Reading would be wonderful for these books. I would love to see some of Gwen Bristo's work in audio. Perhaps Karen White or Cassandra Campbell as narrators. There's also Judith McNaught's back list. Rosalyn Landor would be perfect for some of her older books.

I can also see a male narrating McNaught's titles.
Grace Burrowes told me that audible deals aren't always so great for authors (though I don't see how some of the Kindle deals we see could be any better). Maybe that's why we don't see some authors in the format, or why we see some of their books, like a specific series, but not others. I didn't know Jaci Burton had written anything other than her Play by Play series until I looked her up on Goodreads.
Kym wrote: "Grace Burrowes told me that audible deals aren't always so great for authors (though I don't see how some of the Kindle deals we see could be any better). And I wonder if Grace Burrowes was asking about ACX - Audible's self publishing arm.
And some authors are unfamiliar with audio format period. At RWA (Romance Writer's conference) last month though, I heard a LOT of talk about audiobooks so we'll cross our fingers.
Hmmm. Maybe Simon Vance would be a good choice for McNaught's early work. I'm thinking of things like A Kingdom of Dreams or almost Heaven.

I have the Abridged version by Jan Maxwell and loved it - but, I always prefer unabridged books. I'm hoping these older works of the authors I loved, will be re-recorded and made easily available again.
Mary Stewart please. I have to find out if I will love them as much now as I did when my mom introduced me to her 45 years ago. And the only way I will likely get around to rereading them is if they come out in audiobook. Their are a couple of abridged ones out there, but they don't count. Her books aren't even e-books yet. Also, early Susan Howatch - Cashelmara and Pennmaric.

I'd just like to see her in ebook! Bride of the Lion is one of my favorite books.
Tantor has a post over on their facebook page asking for books or authors you would like so see in audio. Might be a good chance to let them know what authors you are dying to hear in audio.
I would love to see Penelope Williamson's MORTAL SINS and WAGES OF SIN on audiobooks. The books are set in late 1920's in New Orleans, LA. I read them a long time ago, but I really enjoyed. The books I would really love to see on audio are Fr. Andrew Greeley's IRISH GOLD series. I love that series and had a lot of fun learning a bit of history, and having a good laugh at with how Dermot would react to his wonderful wife Nuala. Actually I would love to see all of his books on audio, I know that won't happen, but I can dream.
Thanks, Moriah! I just added my request to the post on Tantor's Facebook page. I do hope they listen to all of our requests. :-)
I would love to see Ellen O'Connell in audiobook form:Dancing on Coals
Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold
Sing My Name
Beautiful Bad Man
Into the Light
And I second Penelope Williamson!
I'm an author who has loved and listened to audiobooks for a very long time, and have been a member of audible for over ten years. I am now trying to choose a narrator for my own project. I love Nicholas Boulton and Simon Vance [mentioned above] as well as Katherine Kellgren, and would also love hearing about more readers you love.Great suggestions so far! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who remembers Gwen Bristow fondly! Now I'm wondering about Victoria Holt, Mary Stewart, and some of the other classic romances.
I really want Jennifer Crusie's Tell Me Lies and Crazy For You done in unabridged audiobook format. I can only find abridged versions and I really dislike abridged books. Why oh why did Brilliance only record abridged versions of these two books???
Someone else had been waiting for this, so from Wen Spencer on facebook:Wen Spencer

Audible has contacted me to say that they will be doing the entire ELFHOME series for Baen. They're now hiring a narrator and will contact me later to get the correct pronunciation of the Elvish. (I don't know who is going to be the narrator, not sure what sex they're going with, so don't ask now.) I will be posting more when I find out more. But WWWWHHHEEEEEE!
I agree The Bronze Horseman series would be great on audio. Also, would LOVE to see Karina Halle's Experiment in Terror series on audio! :)

I would love to see Laura Lee Guhrke's Girl-Bachelor series in audio. Her more recent books are in audio, but I would like her back list available too.

I just read the Duke of Dark Desires by Miranda Neville and I would like to see it in audio. I'm kind of surprised with which titles Harper Collins releases in audio and which ones they don't.
Laura wrote: "I really want Jennifer Crusie's Tell Me Lies and Crazy For You done in unabridged audiobook format. I can only find abridged versions and I really dislike abridged books. Why oh why did Brillianc..."I have both of these saved on my back up drive from years ago and I had no idea that they were abridged versions. Back then I was only listening and not reading books. Now I want to go back and read them to see what I missed the first time.
I’d like to see all the Pulitzer prize and Nobel literature prize books in audio. All of them.Example: The Advise & Consent series by Allan Drury. Awesome. Scott Brick would be terrific.
Why is Marsha Canham not in audiobook format? Pale Moon Rider is fantastic as is the the "Dante Pirates" series. I am currently making my way through the "Highland" series, and am trying to decide what narrator would do justice to this seies, or any of her books.
I saw on amazon that Sabrina Jeffries's Royal Brotherhood trilogy is being re-issued this spring - I'm hoping they will be released in audio at the same day.
Why isn't Julie Anne Long in audiobook? Every time she has a new release I think "Oh, I want to listen to that" and then remember she is never in that format!
I would love to see Cecelia Ahern's PS I LOVE YOU rereleased in audio form. UNABRIDGED. Not ABRIDGED. Which was the only format Audible.com had some years back. The ABRIDGED format doesn't do it JUSTICE.I suspect it's the publishers decision no the authors on how the book is formatted in audio. It may also depend on the kind of contract agreement between author & publisher.
I replaced Whitney my Love, by Judith McNaught, on the library shelf yesterday because it was not in audi format. I want to read this book, but I can't imagine reading it without an audio narrator.
Kathleen Woodiwiss' classics. Some of the older Johanna Lindsey books
Second the suggestion for Elizabeth Stuart
x2 on the older Johanna Lindsey books. Also, the Heart & Soul series by Angela Verdenius. Outstanding romance series that has kickass heroines that also long for the love of a good man.
S.L. Jennings Needs to bring her Se7en Sinners series to audio. Although, all her books are amazing stories especially if you enjoy paranormal romance.

Do you have a favorite romance author you want to see in audio format? If so, do you have a specific narrator in mind? Or if you don't have a specific narrator in mind, would you prefer a female or male narrator?
I wish for Penelope Williamson - back in her pure romance days. I love her detailed writing and unusual characters. I can't think of a single title of hers that I wouldn't want in audio format but the first ones that come to mind are:
The Outsider
Keeper of the Dream
The Passions of Emma
Once in a Blue Moon
Heart of the West
Although I'd love to hear Nicholas Boulton tackle these, I think this author writes a little more from the perspective of the heroine so my wished-for narrator is Kate Reading.
I know this probably falls into the dream category as few of her books are even offered in eBook format but I'll keep wishing.
