[Trim the TBR] Homo Deus by Yuval Noah Harari 3 stars (but think it would have been higher if print instead of audio)

I wouldn't necessarily say it was confusing it just needed all of my attention and I was mentally too tired today (I'm in a training class for a new software I'm going to start implementing at companies). I feel like the book got heavier as it went on and although I finished today I don't know if I could tell you what I listened to other than the fact that it was about the end of the section on technical humanism and the whole section on dataism. I really want to go back and read through those sections again.

I'm happy to hear you liked Sapiens. I have it on my Trim list and I was starting to dread it a little. I put a few books on the list that I needed extra motivation to read.

I thoroughly enjoyed Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind and I don't think I lost anything by listening to it on Audible. Unfortunately, I don't feel I can say the same thing about Homo Deus.
It was a crazy interesting topic but it got really heavy at times and I got distracted and lost some of what the narrator was saying. I'm thinking I may either listen to it again or I may get the book in print and try to read some of the chapters that I thought were interesting but didn't catch all of while listening.
It's interesting because it talks about how technology and the advances that we are making might affect our jobs, our economics and our religions. I'm in technology and I get to see some advances and I'm scared and excited about where we are going. I think the author touched on a lot of things to consider as we go down the road that we are on.
