SOLVED. Children's Fantasy Picture Book about upside down spell cast on a town with "the stranger" and a witch [s]

I am looking for the name of this book or the author's name. I believe the author is a designer, possibly Scandinavian designer. The book is a fantasy adventure about a witch that casts a spell on a town maybe to capture a princess (I can't remember). The protagonist, I don't remember who they are, is helped by "the stranger". The whole book is written in short broken sentences like, "The, stranger - "The, school" - "The, Spell" - with one word on a page.
