Let Us Know New Release Discoveries - II
Loving Evangeline by Linda Howard is coming out on September 8. No sign of Duncan's Bride yet though. That should come out first. There isn't a narrator listed yet either, but it will probably be Lesa Lockford since she did the latest ones by LH.
I just saw on Tantor upcoming releases for:

I am excited because all three of these books are in Want to Read List. YAY
D.G. wrote: "Hmmm...sounds promising. I may want to check those out!"I read and reviewed the first book for AAR and gave it a B, so it was quite a decent read. Check out my review, though, because I suspect the opening scene might be a bit off-putting for some!
I will probably listen to one or more, though - I normally like Heather Wilds (aka Carmen Rose) in spite of her sometimes odd inflections.
Thanks for the warning, Caz. I think I could take the opening scene but the guy sounds like a complete dick!

And narrated by Kate Reading :). That's a chunk of my holiday listening sorted out!

A HR narrator that most agree is fabulous plus Chase! A win-win combination.
Moriah wrote: "Silent Melody by Mary Balogh is now available at Audible. Rosalyn Landor narrates."Excellent. I listened to Heartless recently and really enjoyed it.
Laura Kinsale's The Hidden Heart narrated by the incomparable Nicholas Boulton is available from Audible. *squee!*
Caz wrote: "Laura Kinsale's The Hidden Heart narrated by the incomparable Nicholas Boulton is available from Audible. *squee!*"squee +1!
Deanna Raybourn's new book
. I wish I knew it was coming in audio and I would have just listened. Almost finished reading it and it fantastic!

ETA - Ah, US only :(

Tantor has the new Jennifer Ashley MacKenzie book The Stolen Mackenzie Bride available to download now for $6.99. The book itself doesn't release until 9/29. I was hoping it might be available to download early.
Moriah wrote: "Tantor has the new Jennifer Ashley MacKenzie book The Stolen Mackenzie Bride available to download now for $6.99. The book itself doesn't release until 9/29. I was hoping it might..."Wow, that's a hot deal, but I only see the mp3 CD for $15. Is the sale over or do you have a link?

The sale is good on romance downloads thru the end of the month so the sale should still be going on when on 9/29 when the title is scheduled to be released.
Mary Balogh's Longing, narrated by Rosalyn Landor is available from Audible. It seems that many of Ms Balogh's backlist titles are gradually making their way into audio :)

I just listened to this. I liked the setting: the coal mines in Wales; the labor movement. I don't know if Ms. Landor's Welsh accent is authentic, but I enjoyed it. Not one of Balogh's best, but better than most of what is out there of late.

I haven't read the book, so I'm looking forward to a new to me story. I will definitely be keeping my ear out for the accent - a good Welsh one can be really hard to pull off.

(Sorry to those who don't like her! :P) I read this many years ago and though I remember it wasn't a favorite I'm happy to experience it again through audio.
The King's Man is available narrated by Nicholas Boulton. Don't know anything about the book, but exciting to see another historical narrated by Boulton since he has wrapped up Laura Kinsale's books.
Moriah wrote: "The King's Man is available narrated by Nicholas Boulton. I thought it was coming out in December so having it early is an added treat!
Last Night's Scandal and Not Quite a Lady by Loretta Chase is available for pre-order at Audible finally! Release date for both is 1/26.
Moriah wrote: "The King's Man is available narrated by Nicholas Boulton. Don't know anything about the book, but exciting to see another historical narrated by Boulton since he has wrapped up Laur..."Oooh! I need to check out this book!
Deadly Peril: A Georgian Historical Mystery by Lucinda Brant is now available on audible. I've been stalking audible for this one for a while now. Excited to listen to it.
Moriah wrote: "Stella Riley's The Parfit Knight narrated by Alex Wyndham is now available at audible."I had an early copy to review for AG - it's fab!
Moriah wrote: "Stella Riley's The Parfit Knight narrated by Alex Wyndham is now available at audible."Got it! Thanks!
Moriah wrote: "Stella Riley's The Parfit Knight narrated by Alex Wyndham is now available at audible."Yeah!
Grace Burrowes announced Tantor will be recording The Heir, The Soldier, and The Virtuoso. No release date yet.
Moriah wrote: "Stella Riley's The Parfit Knight narrated by Alex Wyndham is now available at audible."I've never heard of this book but it looks interesting. I may check it out!
Marrying Stone is available on Audible! Haven't checked the narration but I'm adding it to my wish list.
Moriah wrote: "Grace Burrowes announced Tantor will be recording The Heir, The Soldier, and The Virtuoso. No release date yet."Do you know who is narrating? I know she likes James Langton (Roger Hampton) - who recorded the MacGregor books, but that might not be something she has any say over.

Her website didn't say anything about narrator, and Tantor doesn't have any of the titles listed on their site yet.

Oh, well. I shall just keep checking :)
Caz wrote: "Moriah wrote: "Caz wrote: "Moriah wrote: "Grace Burrowes announced Tantor will be recording The Heir, The Soldier, and The Virtuoso. Caz wrote: "Moriah wrote: "Caz wrote: "Moriah wrote: "Grace Burrowes announced Tantor will be recording The Heir, The Soldier, and The Virtuoso. No release date ye..."Amazon has the CD of the Heir listed for sale and it lists James Langston as the narrator with an on sale date of 5/31 with the next two books in the Wyndham series coming out at the end of June and July.
Patricia Rice's Magic series is now on Audible. Not familiar with the narrator Greg Wagland. I loved this series so I'm hoping he will be good. I hate when favorite books have bad narrator.
I just saw a new release from Ilona Andrews at Audible. It's a novella, only 2 hours and 1 minute, but says it's Book 1 of the Grey Wolf series. Called
Magic Stars, it's about Derek so it's a Kate Daniels spin-off I guess. Most interesting is that it's not narrated by Renee Raudman, but by Jeffrey Kafer, who I've never heard of before. I'm praying he is good!
Moriah wrote: "The Mésalliance by Stella Riley, narrate by Alex Wyndham is now available on Audible."Excellent. Favourite author, favourite narrator. My weekend is set :)
