I saw it and was going to get it when I got home from work but it is gone. I'm so excited that Kate Reading narrates instead of Steve Zimmerman. Zimmerman books have a strange audio quality that I find distracting.
Moriah wrote: "Suzanne wrote: "Caz wrote: "Lea's Audiobooks wrote: "Caz wrote: "Angie wrote: "Caz wrote: "Loretta Chase's Captives of the Night has just appeared at Audible - narrated by Kate Readin..."I agree - I've commented on the quality of those audios in my reviews. This one, while it also appears to be self-published and ACX produced seems better, so far.
Caz wrote: "Loretta Chase's Captives of the Night has just appeared at Audible - narrated by Kate Reading!Christmas really has come early!"
squee!! Also can't wait for them to release The Last Hellion which I assume is on the way.
Caz wrote: "Yep, mine is downloading now (it wouldn't earlier). Strange. I'm thinking that maybe out went up early and some of us bought it before Audible could remove and reschedule or something "Darn, it's up now but says it's on pre-order available 12/23. You all who are on the ball got lucky!
JaneA wrote: "Caz wrote: "Yep, mine is downloading now (it wouldn't earlier). Strange. I'm thinking that maybe out went up early and some of us bought it before Audible could remove and reschedule or something "..."Yes, I noticed that earlier :). And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Hellion.

Tessa Dare announced that Twice Tempted by a Rogue is now available at Audible - narrated by Rosalyn Landor and the third book in the trilogy Three Nights with a Scoundrel will be available soon. The first book One Dance with a Duke was available previously. Here's hoping some other series that only had one or two books published previously will be completed.
Moriah wrote: "Tessa Dare announced that Twice Tempted by a Rogue is now available at Audible - narrated by Rosalyn Landor and the third book in the trilogy [book:Three Nights with a Scoundrel|709..."I knew these had been recorded, but didn't know when they'd be out, so thanks for this!
Anyone looking for a great Scottish romance with sexy highlanders absolutely must listen to Captured by a Laird Narrated by the very talented Derek Perkins. I seriously couldn't stop listening!! It was released on Dec. 16th.
I'm listening to Evernight by Kristen Callihan, and once again enjoying the terrific narration by Moira Quirk. I looked to see what the next book in the series was going to be, and found the audiobook of Soulbound being released in February with a different narrator; this time Emma Galvin. I'm so disappointed. Moira Quirk is so great in these books, and she doesn't narrate enough in my opinion. I've enjoyed Emma Galvin before, but I prefer MQ for this series. The narrator change is due to the publisher change, from Hachette to Blackstone. I wish they wouldn't change publishers during a series. It usually means a narrator change. I'll still listen to it, but I'm sure it won't be nearly as good.
Angie wrote: "I'm listening to Evernight by Kristen Callihan, and once again enjoying the terrific narration by Moira Quirk. If so, Blackstone releases Hachette's hard copies and will be listed as the publisher for the CDs. I did find the audio version of Soulbound at Hachette's site. They should be listed as publisher when released at Audible. You will find the same type of thing with Harper's hard copies.
So disappointed to hear Moira Quirk won't be narrating.
Lea's Audiobooks wrote: "Angie wrote: "I'm listening to Evernight by Kristen Callihan, and once again enjoying the terrific narration by Moira Quirk. I guess Moira Quirk just wasn't available this time around.
Angie wrote: "Lea's Audiobooks wrote: "Angie wrote: "I'm listening to Evernight by Kristen Callihan, and once again enjoying the terrific narration by Moira Quirk. I looked to see what the next ..."I think they started it only last year.
Not a new release, but I just saw in Mary Jo Putney's newsletter that she will not be producing anymore of her backlist titles due to changes in the royalty structure making it difficult for authors to cover the cost of production.
Moriah wrote: "Not a new release, but I just saw in Mary Jo Putney's newsletter that she will not be producing anymore of her backlist titles due to changes in the royalty structure making it difficult for author..."I am really sorry to hear that, I wanted The Rake and One Perfect Rose to be recorded, my absolute favorites. Worth reading if you haven't.
Sue wrote: "Moriah wrote: "Not a new release, but I just saw in Mary Jo Putney's newsletter that she will not be producing anymore of her backlist titles due to changes in the royalty structure making it diffi..."Disappointing!
Looks like the new royalties structure is going to result in a reduced number of audiobooks across the board :0(
Sue wrote: "Moriah wrote: "Not a new release, but I just saw in Mary Jo Putney's newsletter that she will not be producing anymore of her backlist titles due to changes in the royalty structure making it diffi..."There's that, and the fact that the self-pubbed audios of MJP's books I listened to used narrators that were not very good at all. I'd rather stick to print rather than listen to badly narrated books.
Caz wrote: "Sue wrote: "Moriah wrote: "Not a new release, but I just saw in Mary Jo Putney's newsletter that she will not be producing anymore of her backlist titles due to changes in the royalty structure mak..."I agree that MJP selected her narrator poorly. I just saw on Grace Burrowes Facebook page when someone asked if more Lonely Lords would be produced in audio that is would depend on how Darius did. She also notedthat the Scotland historicals she has in audio did not sell that well which is too bad because they had a great narrator.
Moriah wrote: "She als noted that the Scotland historicals she has in audio did not sell that well"..."I admit that doesn't surprise me - not that they aren't good, because James Langton is excellent - more because if they HAD sold well, there would be more of her books available in audio. And I wish there were.
Caz wrote: "Moriah wrote: "She als0 noted that the Scotland historicals she has in audio did not sell that well"..."I admit that doesn't surprise me - not that they aren't good, because James Langton is excel..."
Pooh. I loved GB's Scotland books. You know, Nicholas Boulton is about finished with Laura Kinsale's books. Now if GB could get him, they're guaranteed to sell.
Hahaha. Dreaming, I know.
Caz wrote: "Moriah wrote: "She als noted that the Scotland historicals she has in audio did not sell that well"..."I admit that doesn't surprise me - not that they aren't good, because James Langton is excel..."
I was always surprised that they did the Scottish titles and not the Wyndham books.
I loved 'em, too, Lady W. but sadly it seems that not enough of us who loved in print purchased in audio :(
Caz wrote: "I loved 'em, too, Lady W. but sadly it seems that not enough of us who loved in print purchased in audio :("Maybe we should post more reviews for her books on Audible to encourage listeners. Some buyers only check for recommendations on that site.

Definitely. Because I've been fortunate enough to have review copies of all three, I've been unable to do that, as, unlike Amazon, you can only post reviews at Audible if you've actually purchased the audiobook from there.
Caz wrote: "Suzanne wrote: "Caz wrote: "I loved 'em, too, Lady W. but sadly it seems that not enough of us who loved in print purchased in audio :("Maybe we should post more reviews for her books on Audible ..."
And, I will have to check which of her books I've purchased through Audible. I purchased some of the audiobooks from her author site.
Suzanne wrote: "Caz wrote: "Suzanne wrote: "Caz wrote: "I loved 'em, too, Lady W. but sadly it seems that not enough of us who loved in print purchased in audio :("Maybe we should post more reviews for her books..."
I think the only ones she made available herself were the trilogy of Wyndham novellas, which are now up at Audible.

I just went to Audible's facebook page and suggested they give users the ability to rate titles they have listened to thru other sources like amazon does for books. I get books thru several sources, but I know so many people use Audible only that I would like to be able to leave reviews for titles I really like there.
I agree. Leaving audiobook reviews at Amazon isn't as useful as they just get lost. I'd like to be able to leave reviews at Audible, whether I've purchased from there or not.
Caz wrote: "I agree. Leaving audiobook reviews at Amazon isn't as useful as they just get lost. Now, if GR would just make it easier to review audiobooks . . . .
Tantor is showing The Importance of Being Wicked by Miranda Neville is coming out 3/10 narrated by Anne Flosnik. I know that the narrator will disappoint some here, but I'm hoping this whole series is recorded.
Moriah wrote: "Tantor is showing The Importance of Being Wicked by Miranda Neville is coming out 3/10 narrated by Anne Flosnik. I also really enjoyed The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton. Miranda Neville is a truly under-appreciated author.
Moriah wrote: "Tantor is showing The Importance of Being Wicked by Miranda Neville is coming out 3/10 narrated by Anne Flosnik. I was just wondering the other day why none of her books are in audio. Sadly, I'll be sticking to the print editions.
Lady Wesley wrote: "Caz wrote: "I agree. Leaving audiobook reviews at Amazon isn't as useful ..."I check the stars on Audible but I never leave a written review. I don't like the fact I can't edit the review and what I write become the sole property of Audible. I always check GoodReads for reviews and just look at the star rating on Audible
I just noticed that
by Jessica Park, was released on Audible today. I loved the first book in the series. This time around the story is narrated by Tavia Gilbert.
Caz wrote: "Moriah wrote: "Tantor is showing The Importance of Being Wicked by Miranda Neville is coming out 3/10 narrated by Anne Flosnik. Moriah wrote: "Caz wrote: "Moriah wrote: "Tantor is showing The Importance of Being Wicked by Miranda Neville is coming out 3/10 narrated by Anne Flosnik. Soulbound by Kristen Callihan is listed on Audible now with Moira Quirk as narrator. I guess the info at Amazon is wrong. I hope it is anyway.

is scheduled to be released 5/26 read by new to me narrator Shaun Grindell. This quartet will be all over the place narrators.
Moriah wrote: "

I haven't come across Shaun Grindell before. Has anyone heard him or of him?
, narrated by Holter Graham, is now available. I love both this series and the Mercy Thompson series!
Tantor is continuing to record the Lady Emily books by Tasha Alexander. The third book is set to come out in May. For some reason the second book had been recorded several years ago.
Moriah wrote: "Miss Wonderful and The Last Hellion by Loretta Chase are available for pre-order at Audible!"Done! Looking forward to both!
Tessa Dare's Three Nights with a Scoundrel is now available at Audible. Also Stephanie Lauren's A Match for Marcus Cynster is available a couple weeks before the ebook is released.

Yep, mine is downloading now (it wouldn't earlier). Strange. I'm thinking that maybe out went up early and some of us bought it before Audible could remove and reschedule or something
