Yep, mine is downloading now (it wouldn't earlier). Strange. I'm thinking that maybe out went up early and some of us bought it before Audible could remove and reschedule or something

I saw it and was going to get it when I got home from work but it is gone. I'm so excited that Kate Reading narrates instead of Steve Zimmerman. Zimmerman books have a strange audio quality that I find distracting.

I agree - I've commented on the quality of those audios in my reviews. This one, while it also appears to be self-published and ACX produced seems better, so far.

Christmas really has come early!"

squee!! Also can't wait for them to release The Last Hellion which I assume is on the way.

Yes, I noticed that earlier :). And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Hellion.

Moriah | 497 comments Tessa Dare announced that Twice Tempted by a Rogue is now available at Audible - narrated by Rosalyn Landor and the third book in the trilogy Three Nights with a Scoundrel will be available soon. The first book One Dance with a Duke was available previously. Here's hoping some other series that only had one or two books published previously will be completed.

I knew these had been recorded, but didn't know when they'd be out, so thanks for this!

Billie Jo (luv4romance) | 53 comments Anyone looking for a great Scottish romance with sexy highlanders absolutely must listen to Captured by a Laird Narrated by the very talented Derek Perkins. I seriously couldn't stop listening!! It was released on Dec. 16th.

message 63: by Angie (new)

Angie (angiemb) | 415 comments I'm listening to Evernight by Kristen Callihan, and once again enjoying the terrific narration by Moira Quirk. I looked to see what the next book in the series was going to be, and found the audiobook of Soulbound being released in February with a different narrator; this time Emma Galvin. I'm so disappointed. Moira Quirk is so great in these books, and she doesn't narrate enough in my opinion. I've enjoyed Emma Galvin before, but I prefer MQ for this series. The narrator change is due to the publisher change, from Hachette to Blackstone. I wish they wouldn't change publishers during a series. It usually means a narrator change. I'll still listen to it, but I'm sure it won't be nearly as good.

Angie - did you find this at Amazon? If so, Blackstone releases Hachette's hard copies and will be listed as the publisher for the CDs. I did find the audio version of Soulbound at Hachette's site. They should be listed as publisher when released at Audible. You will find the same type of thing with Harper's hard copies.

So disappointed to hear Moira Quirk won't be narrating.

Yes, I found it at Amazon. I didn't know that hard copies were released differently. Thanks for the info. I guess Moira Quirk just wasn't available this time around.

I think they started it only last year.

Moriah | 497 comments Not a new release, but I just saw in Mary Jo Putney's newsletter that she will not be producing anymore of her backlist titles due to changes in the royalty structure making it difficult for authors to cover the cost of production.

Lauren (laurenjberman) Looks like the new royalties structure is going to result in a reduced number of audiobooks across the board :0(

There's that, and the fact that the self-pubbed audios of MJP's books I listened to used narrators that were not very good at all. I'd rather stick to print rather than listen to badly narrated books.

I agree that MJP selected her narrator poorly. I just saw on Grace Burrowes Facebook page when someone asked if more Lonely Lords would be produced in audio that is would depend on how Darius did. She also notedthat the Scotland historicals she has in audio did not sell that well which is too bad because they had a great narrator.

Caz (caz963) | 221 comments Moriah wrote: "She als noted that the Scotland historicals she has in audio did not sell that well"..."

I admit that doesn't surprise me - not that they aren't good, because James Langton is excellent - more because if they HAD sold well, there would be more of her books available in audio. And I wish there were.

Pooh. I loved GB's Scotland books. You know, Nicholas Boulton is about finished with Laura Kinsale's books. Now if GB could get him, they're guaranteed to sell.

Hahaha. Dreaming, I know.

I was always surprised that they did the Scottish titles and not the Wyndham books.

Maybe we should post more reviews for her books on Audible to encourage listeners. Some buyers only check for recommendations on that site.

Definitely. Because I've been fortunate enough to have review copies of all three, I've been unable to do that, as, unlike Amazon, you can only post reviews at Audible if you've actually purchased the audiobook from there.

And, I will have to check which of her books I've purchased through Audible. I purchased some of the audiobooks from her author site.

I think the only ones she made available herself were the trilogy of Wyndham novellas, which are now up at Audible.

I just went to Audible's facebook page and suggested they give users the ability to rate titles they have listened to thru other sources like amazon does for books. I get books thru several sources, but I know so many people use Audible only that I would like to be able to leave reviews for titles I really like there.

message 82: by Caz (new)

Caz (caz963) | 221 comments I agree. Leaving audiobook reviews at Amazon isn't as useful as they just get lost. I'd like to be able to leave reviews at Audible, whether I've purchased from there or not.

I get audiobooks primarily from Audible and try to always leave a review (created a GR shelf to tick off when I've posted the review). Now, if GR would just make it easier to review audiobooks . . . .

Great news, although I am not an Anne Flosnik fan. I loved Lady Windermere's Lover, and am reading The Duke of Dark Desires. I also really enjoyed The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton. Miranda Neville is a truly under-appreciated author.

I didn't much care for that book, but I liked Lady Windermere's Lover and loved The Duke of Dark Desires. I was just wondering the other day why none of her books are in audio. Sadly, I'll be sticking to the print editions.

I check the stars on Audible but I never leave a written review. I don't like the fact I can't edit the review and what I write become the sole property of Audible. I always check GoodReads for reviews and just look at the star rating on Audible

Lady Windermere's Lover is listed on Tantor's website with a narrator of Charlotte Anne Dore. I'm don't recognize the name right off the bat.

She narrated Sherry Thomas' My Beautiful Enemy. She was okay, but her male voices were disappointing, especially the hero.

It is rather odd - Tantor lists Charlotte Anne Dore for books 2 and 3 as well as Anne Flosnik for book 1.

I haven't come across Shaun Grindell before. Has anyone heard him or of him?
