MY question is: how can anyone, even Iggy Pop, involuntarily commit himself... to any hospital ward? It brings me back to my ED Nursing days: one night a patient was brought in by ambulance, and the person who accompanied him was screaming "He's DNR but he doesn't know it!" Not a thing.

Oh, that had to be a mistake. I remember reading ages ago in an interview that he checked himself in to work with Murray Zucker quite voluntarily.

I'm sure it was a mistake. But it is an interesting oxymoron.
Murray Zucker was his doctor?

There was a case like this on Forensic Files. A man would drive around until he saw a female walking alone and then hit them with his car.

Fishface | 18889 comments Because crime follows me everywhere, I got a list of the victims of a mass shooting in Indiana when I looked into why my package hasn't arrived yet from FedEx. That led me to this discussion in an "Indy Star" article about how the law stares that the priority is to get guns back into the hands of mentally ill citizens ASAP after they have been shown to be unstable and possibly dangerous. At least what I'm taking from what the prosecutor says in the video:

If there is more than one book about those guys and I know of it -- can't think of the answer offhand, sorry -- there should be a shelf devoted to them on the TC bookshelf. Look under C for Carr brothers or W for Wichita, or alphabetically under any other press nicknames commonly used for the case...
