Really? Brigid Kemmerer said it's the final book of the series but she kinda left it open ending so there's possibility to continue it in the future if she feels like writing them again. I think you're right, then.

I'm on 38% and have to stop reading it now since it's already 2:45 am. I don't want to stop but have to wake up early tomorrow and unfortunately I won't have much time to read it either. Anyway, I really enjoy and liking it so far. How about you?

I liked it. Not as good as some of the earlier books though. the ending was definitely left open. The ARC from netgalley ended at 66%.

(view spoiler)[I agree with you in your 58% spoiler tag. Brigid Kemmerer keeps throwing bad things to the characters, but I liked it since I didn't get many action and tension in Secret. I didn't believe that Michael's brother die too, but Hunter's death was surprising me. I didn't see it at all. (hide spoiler)]

True! I guess (view spoiler)[they never know unless all of the Elemental stick together and declare a war to the Guides or at least try to speak to them which is kind impossible, I think. And I bet the Guides won't stop hunting them, no matter what. (hide spoiler)]

soooo i was disappointed in this book for a number of reasons.
firstly ill start by saying i love this author with all my heart but honestly this last book was supposed to end the series without us being all confused.

so no.1:i kinda felt like some characters in sacrifice just kinda fizzled and died and we heard nothing else about them for the rest of the book. which, in my opinion would have some readers saying WTF. eg. 1 Adam kinda just fizzled out after he gave Micheal Nicks cellphone after the boys were taken away. are u gonna tell me that even after that huge explosion in the group home that adam wont move mountains trying to reach his man, or that Nick wouldnt even mention him for the rest of the book??
2. the ending was horrible. and i say this with alot of love for Brigid but c'mon! u wrote a beautiful book that kept us high from page 1 just to completely let it all flop on that last page??! the ending was so abrupt. i was turning the next page looking for the next chapter and when i diddnt see it the level of disappointment that i felt was unreal. that being said i think a book 6 is definitely warranted if only to tie up any loose ends that book 5 has more than dished out. we dont know how micheal goes about getting his brothers back, we dont know if Irish becomes an ally against the merricks or an enemy, we know that the guides are supposedly changing but what we dont know is the ones who refuse change, do they come after the merricks? these are just a few questions im asking.

With good reason too because he has so many responsibilities but he's also pushing Hannah away and sort of making things worse.
