This is my first ever pick and I'm super excited but also hope that everyone can enjoy something from this shelf:

I have chosen this shelf as I have been wanting to get back into the Masters of Rome series by Colleen McCullough for ages. There is fiction and non-fiction here and this shelf is not on the Snakes & Ladders game either so maybe everything old (or ancient) is new again.

i'm planning on reading the first Colleen McCullough - bonus is that the audio is narrated by David Ogden Stiers who is hilarious and then i'm going to try the Silver Pigs by Lindsey Davis again - i liked it the first time, but it was when I wasn't listening to audiobooks all that much, so i want to see if my opinion has changed

Ok, I plan to really get outside my reading comfort zone next month, so my pick for December is Steampunk :D I've only ever read one series that is on there, the His Dark Materials trilogy, and I enjoyed that so I'm hoping that I will find this is a genre I can fall in love with.

If you liked His Dark Materials, you might want to try Leviathan next.

My dilemma with this choice will be whether to go for all the books on the shelf I already have marked TBR, or to try to make myself look for new things. There's a lot of great stuff there.

I wish I had had time to participate in December's shelf reading. It has only been this year that I have ever read steampunk books (the Leviathan series), and, so far I hve really liked the genre.
