not even 20% done. i don't know how i feel about this book. i don't know how i feel at all. it intrigues me alot but it stretches out moments so long that i almost lose interest. yet i am enjoying it still
i feel i should give an update. 218 pages in. not even 30% done. it has only been one day in the book. yet something is pulling me to read it even though it drags. drags and drags. it has something compelling. perhaps it may have a twist. no idea.
29% done. know i just left a small thought but i feel I just got to the part where the story really gets going now. never have I ever felt kind of freaked out by a character until now and I feel like everything is adding up.
gah.....this book has the ability to screw with your mind. even though it can be a slow read in most spots, it keeps the reader interested. and once you got it figured out, it twists on you and you're back at square one.
Never have I read a book so disturbing that I felt disgusted reading it. Until now. False Memory by Dean Koontz is so disturbing that I hated having to read it. Not only was it disturbing, it is a slowly written read. Dean Koontz takes 3 pages to descrive one thing in the whole book. Then he would redescribe that moment again a page later. Honestly even though there was a tiny bit of suspense in it, and it had a promising story but his problem is to much of the same detail and the fact the book is stretched out to he long. False Memory is 720 something pages long and even though I could only make it to page 374, I kept thinking, there is no way its that long. Dean won't take a half a book to get his story going. I was wrong. Even though I only managed to finish 50% of the book I feel that Dean Koontz could have sliced off 200 more pages on the novel. Actually it probably would have survived being a 487page book. Less pages on one detail and more intriguing story Dean Koontz. I will still read Dean Koontz but I won't for awhile and I will make sure I remember to read most reviews before I do now as I was disappointed that I couldn't finish this one. Not cause it was to disturbing but because he took whole chapters to describe one thing. And it does not get better. I am being generous giving this book even ⭐⭐ as it does not even deserve that. If you read this book, know what you're getting into. I would not recommend it to anyone and would not even offer it up as a Leave A Book. Maybe the library will find a dusty home for this non-keeper.
So far, kind of don't recommend this book.
