Summary:

Analysis:

Shane, He never had the perfect childhood. When his dad found out he didn't like girls, hes dad left him, and his Mom. (30,32) Shane dawson has always liked to make things positive, so when everyone found out in he was in to guys, they made fun of them , and did the most horrible things ever, but he always talked, and said it could get worse. (40, 45) When he dropped out of high school, he started to do youtube, about the most randomest thing you could ever think of, over a long process he got lots of subscribers and when that happened he started to do music. (60,70) The first girl he was in love with , was a girl named Andy she was a waitress at the Cheesecake factory. He never had a feeling like this , only for his family and friends .. but he never thought no one would like him because he thought he would never be good enough for anyone. (75,78) He wanted to tell her how he felt towards her, and he was so nervous to even look at her. But he told her.. she told him he was just like her brother.. that crushed his heart more than he could even express (80,82) The “youtubers mom” texted shane asking if the girl was alright , but shane was already home. But shane knew something was wrong , so he hurry and drives over there to see if she was okay. He knocks she opens the door looking like a train hit her. (85,87) Her Mom asked if shane could stay with her , to see if she will be okay. of course he said yes , even though he was hurt. Shane was sitting there and she left her phone unlocked and he looked and and saw…. them talking so much trash about him. He thought he couldn’t get more crushed, but at this moment he felt like his heart got ripped out. (91) (words 330)

Opinion:

It Gets Worse is an amazing book, i’m so in love with youtube, so it's really cool to hear things about his life, because he never talks about the stuff he’s been through . But when you read this book you feel connected to him and learn so many things you would never know. He talks about things people don’t like, but he’s so passionate about it, but the cool thing is he rather be himself then make other people except him for what he chooses to be. Many, people hate him, but so many people love him so much , he truly makes people happy. when i feel down , or little off i can always just pick up shane’s book and smile and laugh, he’s so funny. In my eyes he is such a good role model. He tells you he has gone through so many challenges in life; when he was in 7th grade. He came out and everyone made fun of him, called him names, but he never made it negative, he alway made everything so positive , and it shows how amazing he truly is. He tries to make people know that you can get threw anything, and everything. If you enjoy shane dawson’s youtube videos are anything about him , you would fall in love with his books as well !
