Who died at the end of the book? Who is confused?

I am so confused. The last sentence was a killer. This was made so we can talk about the book and be confused, angry, sad, anything together. Who is confused about what this means for the ships? Possibly most likely spoilers.

I know but like so many people at my school think that Fitz is gonna freak out because Sophie is unmatchable.

Also I can TOTALLY see Fitz saying "I don't care, I want to be with you" and then Sophie says"Yes, but I do, I don't want you to sacrifice your status to be with me." And then Keefe is going to come in and be like"Hey, I'll be with you because I like you and I kinda wanna stick it to my dad." Anyone else think that this is very possible?

That could be possible but I could also see Sophie totally ignore Keefe and go with Fitz. Mainly because she has known all along that Keefe likes her and hasn’t done ANYTHING about it. But hopefully I’m wrong I ship SoKeefe all the way!
