What's a book you've seen that revolves around a puzzle or game? Have you already read a book for this section?

Sonya (thelibrarianin3b) | 93 comments I want to read 'Caraval' by Stephanie Garber. Hopefully I can get the 1st and 2nd done by the time the third comes out in May.

Caraval is an amazing book! #2 is just as good, and I can’t wait for Finale this year!

I'm reading 'Legendary' by Stephanie Garber, which is Caraval #2. This is an amazing series, I highly recommend it!

Nicola Stokes | 3 comments I read the Bookshop of Yesterdays for this one - the main storyline is based around the main character solving clues that she finds (kind of a big treasure hunt - I'm counting that as a puzzle!). It was a great read and I really enjoyed!

Sonya (thelibrarianin3b) | 93 comments So I didn’t read it in time to for the release of the 3rd book Finale, but I keep seeing it everywhere and hearing how great it is so I finally got around to reading Caraval by Stephanie Garber.

The story is centered on this magical game called Caraval. I absolutely loved the writing because, although it was hard at time to clearly picture settings and costumes, the game is supposed to be fantastical so the descriptions only added to the surreal quality of the magical setting. Really enjoyed the story, I was hooked. The ending frustrated me personally, but I’m told the following books only get better and more is explained so I’m going to continue the series.
