He is upset because the Americans are planning the weaponization of space, as though they (ET’s) are enemies … It came out of a project called Project Paperclip, in which – and this is what Eisenhower warned us against – the sustention of the Military Industrial Complex. In order to extend the power and the funding of the Military Industrial Complex, you have to be afraid of things. Number one was communism. If that petered out, number two is terrorism. That’s here for a while. Number three is asteroids. And number four is extraterrestrials.” –Shirley Maclaine. Excerpt from an interview with Larry King on Larry King Live that aired on CNN on November 9, 2007.

There’s a third scenario in the human vs. alien debate regarding anti-gravity technologies.

This scenario would see a combination of the two extremes – meaning it isn’t fully human technology and isn’t fully alien, but a hybrid. The theory suggests alien technology somehow arrived on earth in the mid-20th Century in an event like the Roswell crash. A flying saucer was found and then reverse-engineered by reproducing the alien manufacturer’s product after careful study.

The aforementioned claims of Area 51 employee Bob Lazar would fit this theory. Besides Lazar, many other ex-military personnel have claimed the US did indeed successfully reverse-engineer recovered ET spacecraft and eventually learn how to manufacture such anti-gravity craft en masse.

“I have contact with certain diplomats who not only confirm meetings have been taking place between some government officials and an alien race, but have been receiving assistance from this race to advance technology to enable us to meet hostile aliens on a level playing field. My contacts have been present at these meetings and have met these aliens who are benevolent towards us but will not act with aggression towards any life form unless in self defence, but they are prepared to help us advance our technology.” –Tony Dodd. Former British police officer.

James Morcan | 11378 comments “Many of the engineers I interviewed worked on reverse-engineering technology. It's a hallmark of Area 51.” –Annie Jacobsen, from a Democracy Now TV interview discussing her book Area 51: An Uncensored History of America’s Top Secret Military Base.

After the Roswell crash in 1947, there were reports in the coming months and years of successive UFO crashes in the United States.

Question is: Were technologies gained by the US via reverse engineering recovered craft from these crash sites?

According to Colonel Philip J. Corso’s writings in his aforementioned book The Day After Roswell, the UFO craft recovered at Roswell seemed to have the ability to store as well as conduct a vast amount of electric current. He suspected the craft was simply a capacitor that stored current that was controlled or vectored by the pilot and was able to recharge itself with some form of built-in generator, just like a very advanced flying battery.

Corso believed that if this craft was indeed propelled by electromagnetic antigravity propulsion, its flight might be greatly influenced by outer electric fields. Hence its flight could be disturbed by a thunder storm or radiation of strong electromagnetic fields such as radar systems.

From the debris of crashed UFO’s, Corso also mentioned in his book that US scientists invented integrated circuit chips, fiber optics, lasers and super-tenacity fibers by using the reverse engineering techniques.
If these theories are true, then besides classified exotic inventions like flying saucers, most modern technologies available to the public (such as computers and smart phones) may in fact be extraterrestrial in origin.

David Elkin | 508 comments Coast to Coast had some interesting comments about Area 51

On Sunday night's program, George Knapp welcomed documentary filmmaker, artist, and researcher, Jeremy Corbell, for a discussion on his various film projects which cover topics such as ufological icons John Lear and Bob Lazar, alien implants, and a scientist working with advanced nanotechnology. Corbell traced his interest in Lear back to a fascination with the aviator's controversial and revelatory statements about UFOs in the 1980's. He credited Lear's willingness to be filmed as the veritable starting point for all of his subsequent projects as "it was like a whole world of conspiracy opened up to me." Joining the program in the first hour, Lear recounted his early interest in UFOs and how he originally heard of Area 51 during his pursuit of information surrounding the then-secret SR-71 aircraft.

During the second hour, Corbell revealed how he has found a new witness to the Bob Lazar story: a man named Dr. Robert Krangal, who recalled working alongside the infamous whistleblower at Los Alamos National Lab in the 1980's. According to Corbell, Krangal produced a wealth of documentation that verified his own background and, thus, makes the account of his time at Los Alamos extremely credible. Corbell argued that this testimony strongly refutes the longstanding skeptical stance that, since Lazar's educational background cannot be verified, then he was unlikely to have worked at Los Alamos or Area 51. "On the record, we have him at Los Alamos," Corbell said, "maybe people should start considering the seemingly outlandish and impossible thing that Lazar might be telling you the truth." Gene Huff joined the program during the second hour to reflect on his role in Lazar's story.

James Morcan | 11378 comments Okay so that strengthens Lazar's case/claims.

James Morcan | 11378 comments I've always been on-the-fence regarding Lazar's claims however.
Almost everything in the UFO arena is an enigma...

Jim (jimliedeka) I don't buy that integrated circuits came from reverse-engineered technologies. We're starting to discover their limits now and we still don't have interstellar travel (as far as I know).

I can't speak to any of the other alleged RE technologies.
