Liz V. (wwwgoodreadscomlizv) | 43821 comments A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains shows Anton Chekhov as co-author. Did he instead translate the book or write an introduction?

Also:
Anton Chekhov
Anton Chekhov delete?
Anton Chekhov merge?
Anton Chekhov (author) merge?
Anton Chekhov, extraneous comma; merge?
Anton Chekov alternative spelling?

Arenda | 26447 comments #2 No idea where Chekhov came from. He is not credited on Worldcat. Amazon has a look inside function for this edition, also no mention of Chekhov. I've removed him from this book.
(I could find one bookseller listing where Chekhov was credited as the author for this book, with no mention of Isabell Bird, even though the cover says Isabella Bird).

Several duplicate profiles of Chekhov merged. Chekov is an alternate spelling used on some covers, so that one has to stay. I've added a link to the general Chekhov profile.

Liz V. (wwwgoodreadscomlizv) | 43821 comments On the two books listed on the Anton Chekov profile, both Chekhov and Chekov listed in author line.

Perhaps delete Chekhov alternative and rely on the cross-reference you added to Anton Chekhov ?

Thank you again.

Arenda | 26447 comments All editions should have Anton Chekhov as primary author. Editions with a different author name on the cover (different spelling, or even different alphabet) should have that name as secondary author, see https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/4...
