Forest of Ghosts by J.H. Moncrieff - the fourth in her GhostWriters series, but can be read as a standalone. Jackson and Kate are back for more supernatural adventures, this time in a haunted forest in Romania. Packed with atmosphere and tension.

Dead Stop is one hell of an awesome read! I have read it several times and still enjoy it every time I read it!

and enjoyed it quite a bit. :)"Sort of, haha. It was The Wolf Road which was okay for me, I wasn't that hung up on the way it was written.
Just finished Two for the Dough on audiobook. Stephanie Plum novels make great crime stories with some good humor added in.
So far, I've read 16 books this year; so not too shabby. I am really trying to get my series under control; most are half-starts and I am behind.
I recently finished The Marco Effect, which is #5 in the Dept Q series.
No horror yet, but I'm working on it. :)

I love Jussi Adler-Olsen's books.

Recently finished Alice by Christina Henry

A Harrowing and horrifying re-imagining of the popular children's tale.
This horror / noir set in the 1980's is a lot of fun; Our Lady of the Inferno by Preston Fassel

There are 7 books in the series thus far, though it's been a couple years since he's published a new one. There's also a Danish movie series based on the books. They're pretty good so far as cop-thriller movies go, but sadly, they cut out all of the wonderful humor and completely miscast Rose and Assad as normal people instead of what they should look like.

All the Missing GirlsNot really impressed aside from the fact the story was told in reserved. The author seemed to have the tendency to overly remind the reader how everyone in the book had a secret which by the time the book ended, I didn't care about.
I finished
and thought it was a ton of fun! (Not a literary masterpiece, by far, but a blast if you're looking for entertainment with no moral behind it.)

This morning I finished The Boy Who Steals Houses which was a 5-star for me! Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I've heard mixed reviews of this one. I have it on my bookshelf but haven't got around to it yet!
The Complete Fiction of H.P. Lovecraft. As big as Azathoth himself, but really enjoyed reading the entire work of one of the masters of the weird tale.
The cover is definitely the best thing about this book. The writing was bad, there were many plot holes, and characters doing things that didn't make any sense.

I listened to it on audio with a full cast and it was excellent!

Good to know! I plan on reading it at some point.
Silent Children by Ramsey Campbell I've been indulging in a bit of a Ramsey Campbell book fest recently and thoroughly enjoying reading some of the older classics, of which this is one.
