I am still early into it. I have heard a lot of different opinions about it.

Clint Walker Jr (donkataar) | 71 comments Almost finished with Adrian's Undead Diary Omnibus volume 1. I started out reading this online as a blog. The author Chris Philbrook finally pulled all his posts together into an awesome book. This centers around a man who is trying to survive the zombie apocalypse written as daily entries into his journal. This made my keep for life shelf. Thanks Chris!

I have! I enjoyed them overall, but I didn't think they were GREAT, if that makes any sense?

I don't blame you! I also DNFd [bookcover:The Mansion|38355263] and I was bummed to do it, because I did enjoy his other books.

Tabula Rasa (Tabula Rasa, #1) by Kristen Lippert-Martin

Just cracked it open and discovered it's a signed copy. Didn't even realize it when I bought it at a library book sale awhile back. How cool is that?

One of the best books I've read in years, if not ever. Assuming you're still happy with it at the end, you should try Langan's House of Windows.

I completely agree with that sentiment. I just finished it. It’s been a long time since a horror novel outside a select few authors have brought me to enjoy a book so much.
And to continue I am now starting House of Windows by John Langan

message 341: by Tattooed Horror (new)

Tattooed Horror Reader (tattooedreader13) Currently listening to Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson, which I'm really enjoying so far. Also slowly reading A Stir of Echoes by Richard Matheson, not sure about this one so far.

I hope you enjoy House of Windows. I think it's an underappreciated novel.

message 349: by Randy (new)

Randy Money | 432 comments Theodora Goss' The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter. Goss' In the Forest of Forgetting was a wonderful collection, the stories having a dark fairytale-like feel. This novel tells a tale about the convergence of the daughters of certain notable Victorian fathers, plus one pre-Victorian father. So it's working with horror tropes, but early on I'm mostly enjoying the Goss' wittiness.
