Happy new year everyone!
It looks like wer're going to start the year with a Jane Austen book! Sense and sensibility is going to be our group read for January and I, personally, couldn't be more excited! Have you read this book before or are you going to read it for the first time?

Vassa Jane Austen is one of my most favourite authors! I’ve already read this book in Russian, and I’m really excited to read it in the original. I’ve also watched the mini-series, the one with Dan Stevens and Dominic Cooper, which I’ve enjoyed a lot. I’ll go to the library as soon as possible and try to find the book :)

As far as I know, there's also a film with an amazing cast: Hugh Grant, High Laurie, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet. I personally haven't watched this one, but it sounds promising.

The first time I tried to read Sense and Sensibility, I only read a bit of it before I gave up. It was watching the 1995 film with Kate Winslet that caused me to pick up the book a second time. I'm not reading it this month because I just read it six months ago, but I thought it was great. Of the four Austen novels I've read, Sense and Sensibility is my second favorite (Pride and Prejudice is my favorite).
