Ooo, good to hear about The Dark Bones. It is on my list :)
I finished listening The Darkness and oh boy, what an ending. I see there is a second book so I am interested in seeing where it goes! I am now listening to Resistance Women.
I finished listening to Under Currents by Nora Roberts, and though it lacked a lot of suspense, I loved it. Here’s my review.
I finished listening to Mine by Courtney Cole and it was one wild story about infidelity. It was crazy good. Here’s my review.
I’m listening to When the Lights Go Out by Mary Kubica

That is good to know, Jonetta. I find if I go in knowing that it is not heavy on suspense, I like it better. Otherwise, I keep waiting and get frustrated.
I look forward to your review on When the Lights Go Out. I listened to that recently.

I’m finding many who love the suspense genre set expectations before opening the book so I thought it prudent to make that mention.

I finished American Predator: The Hunt for the Most Meticulous Serial Killer of the 21st Century and didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Maybe I know so much about this case, this book feels like just a brief summary.
I finished listening to Resistance Women and loved it. It reminded me of a lot of Lilac Girls. Most of the characters in this book were real people. Chiaverini can be a bit too detailed but it really worked for this book. I was burned out with books set during WWII and almost skipped it, and am glad I did not!I also finished The Saturday Night Ghost Club and really enjoyed this one too! It is set in 1980s Canada.
I finished reading Fear No Evil (No Evil Trilogy #3) by Allison Brennan, 5 ★. This was a great ending to the trilogy. I really admire the whole Kincaid family. Here's my review.
I listened to
Her Grave Secrets by Kendra Elliot. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I read
The Sixth Man by David Baldacci. This book grabbed me from the beginning and didn't let up.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I also read
The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare. I read this when I was in grade school and decided to revisit it when I found it in a used bookstore. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare and liked it a lot better than the second book in Infernal Devices trilogy but I'm not so sure I liked the epilogue. 4 stars. I also finished A Hoe Lot of Troubleby Heather Webber which was an average read with the typical cozy amateur sleuth blundering her way into trouble. The additional gardening things kept my interest though. I liked to see Nina's company in action renovating yards. They are considered mini renovations where the yard is changed during the course of one day, usually as a surprise for a loved one. Thankfully Nina was very competent doing this job. 3.5 StarsCurrently reading Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews on my kindle and listening to Meet Cuteby Helena Hunting
I finished reading Dead Ever After (Sookie Stackhouse #13) by Charlaine Harris, 4 ★. Here's my review.

Totally! With Roberts, now I tend to go in without expectations and see where it goes. I am glad you also tell us :)
I had a bout of insomnia so I finished listening to If She Wakes this afternoon. I liked it but not as much as the his last book. I am now listening to Deception Cove, my first book by this author. I started reading How to Hack a Heartbreak which I received a physical ARC for.
This has been a super busy month for me and I feel that things are more than a little out of control around my house with a two year old here for 10 days and into everything. You young mothers have my deepest gratitude for the job you do every day. This 60 something is exhausted. I don't know how my niece does it and she's pregnant with #2.

Thin Air by Lisa Gray. Interesting suspense/mystery.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I also listened to
Walking on Her Grave by Melinda Leigh. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished reading Sawbones and really enjoyed it. I thought it would be a light western romance but it is gritty and heavy. Last night I started reading A Highlander Walks into a Bar.
I finished Avenged by Kaylea Cross, Hostage Rescue Team #5, and liked it but it took some time to develop. Here’s my review.
I finished When the Lights Go Out by Mary Kubica and it was a unique story made better by the fabulous Julia Whelan’s narration. Here’s my review.
I finished The McAvoy Sisters Book of Secrets by Molly Fader, formerly writing under her pseudonym Molly O’Keefe, and it was just wonderful! Here’s my review.
I’m reading The Starter Wife by Nina Laurin and listening to City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare, The Mortal Instruments #4.

I finished listening to Leaving Everything Most Loved and enjoyed this one, and looking forward to seeing where the series goes. I am now listening to The Nickel Boys and am loving the writing so far.
The Nickel Boys was a shorter read so I finished this at work. This is such a powerful read, especially as it was based on true events. I then started The Unbreakables and I threw out my plans to read a physical book to finish this one. I loved this one. I was not expecting this to be such a well written read. I thought it would be more of "Eat, Pray, Love" kind of journey, but found it way more hopeful. This morning while having my breakfast I listened to novella, In Plain Sight. I love this series and the novellas! I am now listening to Mrs. Everything.
I finished A Highlander Walks into a Bar and liked it but I didn't get that connected with the characters so I rated it 3 stars.
I finished The Starter Wife by Nina Laurin and while I had some issues, I ended up liking the story. Here’s my review.
I finished listening to City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare, The Mortal Instruments #4, and liked the foundation of the story but felt it could have been shorter. Here’s my review.
I’m reading Keeping Lucy by T. Greenwood and listening to The Eighth Sister by Robert Dugoni, Charles Jenkins #1.

I finished Mrs. Everything and loved it. I am now listening to Never Have I Ever (and am almost finished!).
I had an audio day at work so I finished Never Have I Ever and I really enjoyed the suspense in this cat and mouse game! I also finished listening to Shamed which was great as usual! I started listening to Outfox this morning but I could not get into this at all, so I am now listening to The Island.I finished reading The Suspect - the first book in the series - and loved the writing so I am in for rest of teh series and the standalone novels. I did start The Corpse Played Dead last night and cannot wait to continue it tonight!

I finished Papergirl - written about 1919, Winnipeg strike. This novel was written in the 1980s but was published years after the author passed away. I enjoyed this story told from a 10 year olds pov.I started The Girl Between way back but I never went back to finish it. I decided to finish it and thought it was okay. It is a historical fiction about the artist Edvard Munch and his inspiration behind his painting The Scream.
I also finished listening to The Island - a mystery set in Iceland. This is my third book by the author and I think I am going to leave it there. I am not really motivated to read them as they are just okay.
I am listening to Cemetery Road - southern Gothic mystery. I am reading Too Close to Breathe - suspense mystery set in Ireland.
I finished reading Everless (Everless #1) by Sara Holland, 5 ★. Here's my review. It was so good that I immediately started reading Evermore (Everless #2).

It did keep me reading to the end though.I started listening to The Sentence is Death yesterday and am enjoying it so far.

I love when people read old category romances. I'm glad you really liked this and I agree how ridiculous it is that he would marry her even though he does not love her. This is kind of a disservice to both of them actually. And not very romantic.
