Cool - i hope you end up reading it.
I'm travelling to Russia to Den azurblå stäppen ="The Azure Taiga"
by Mikhail SholokhovI can't find the English edition. Feel free to correct my translation of the title - maybe it sounds better with "The Taiga Azure" or "The Azure Blue Taiga" or "The Azure Coloured Taiga"?
My February book will be Autumn by Ali Smith. I have to get it from the library, but it looks like they will have it for me within a week

I’m heading to Madagascar in March. I’ve carried this country/book over at least 2 years and its number hasn’t been picked until now so - yay! Beyond the Rice Fields
Diane wrote: "March's number is 23. What will you be reading?"Oh, I love it - I'm gonna read Skogens salt ("The salt of the forest" by Nguyễn Huy Thiệp, a short story collection by a Vietnamese author that I'm really looking forward to read. =) I had the great luck and privilege to travel to Vietnam in January two years ago - just before covid stopped the possiblity - and now I'll go back by reading about it.

This book looks promising - but alas I can’t find an English edition. I’ll watch for your review.

I've googled and the book have once been translated into English with the title "The Salt of the Djungle" though it doesn't appear here on Goodreads. Maybe you can find it at your local library? It was published in the late 1980's. He seems to be one of the most influential Vietnamese writers. Good Luck with finding the book. Let me know if you succeed =)

I'll be reading Disgrace by J.M. Coetzee, set in South Africa. This is my first book by this author, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Doris wrote: "I'm off to Greece with Margaret Atwood's The Penelopiad"Oh my! I just realized that I misread March's number as 13, rather than 23. Okay, then, I'm to Russia instead, with A Gentleman in Moscow.
Completed #23 for March:The Farming of Bones by Edwidge Danticat - 5* - My Review - Haiti and the Dominican Republic

I really enjoyed that book. More than the Penelopiad, though that was good too, but odd. Gentleman is a straightforward story with an unambiguous narrator and a sweet and gentle core. I hope you like it.
I will read a book that is not translated into English or any other language. It's a crime novel and it's about a Swedish travel guide who gets involved in solving a murder when a tourist is found murdered in Greece. Systrarna på Kreta by Anna-Maria Ekblad. The title is "The Sisters on Crete"
I’m heading to Costa Rica in April, reading A Beach House To Die For. Of course I still need to finish my March read which is going pretty slow.

I really enjoyed that one. Some of it was so funny!

Looking forward to your review of An Unnecessary Woman. If number 7 gets called this year that's where I'll be.
