I can't find the English edition. Feel free to correct my translation of the title - maybe it sounds better with "The Taiga Azure" or "The Azure Blue Taiga" or "The Azure Coloured Taiga"?

Oh, I love it - I'm gonna read Skogens salt ("The salt of the forest" by Nguyễn Huy Thiệp, a short story collection by a Vietnamese author that I'm really looking forward to read. =) I had the great luck and privilege to travel to Vietnam in January two years ago - just before covid stopped the possiblity - and now I'll go back by reading about it.

I've googled and the book have once been translated into English with the title "The Salt of the Djungle" though it doesn't appear here on Goodreads. Maybe you can find it at your local library? It was published in the late 1980's. He seems to be one of the most influential Vietnamese writers. Good Luck with finding the book. Let me know if you succeed =)

I really enjoyed that book. More than the Penelopiad, though that was good too, but odd. Gentleman is a straightforward story with an unambiguous narrator and a sweet and gentle core. I hope you like it.
