I'll be reading Lawrence in Arabia: War, Deceit, Imperial Folly, and the Making of the Modern Middle East
My October pick is #14, The Amazing Mrs. Pollifax set in Turkey. Will definitely read this one as I enjoyed reading Mrs Pollifax earlier. Hopefully this will end my DNF streak here.
Oh dear, I've got a challenging one for October: The Black Count: Glory, Revolution, Betrayal, and the Real Count of Monte Cristo. Mind, I *want* to read it, but my reading patterns this year suggest that I'll be doing well to even crack it open.

Thanks! I'm loving it so far. I'm an old-school ER fan, so I'm loving the medical theme! :)
I'm Bermuda bound with A Brave Vessel: The True Tale of the Castaways Who Rescued Jamestown and Inspired Shakespeare's The Tempest
There must be one book in the list that you desperately want to read next. What is the corresponding number that you want to be picked next? Mine is 20 !
My last book of the year is taking me to Papua New Guinea - Lost in Shangri-la: A True Story of Survival, Adventure, and the Most Incredible Rescue Mission of World War II
Finished #5 for December:Be Still the Water by Karen Emilson - completed 12/26/20 - 3 stars - My Review (Canada)
I'm heading to Antigua and Barbuda and reading Annie John.I have 5 chapters and less than 100 pages left of my Dec 2020 book. Cancer Ward is great writing, but I can't do more than a couple of chapters a day. I'm looking forward to a new year of fun books.
I'm heading to Turkey with My Name Is Red by Orhan Pamuk. I was hoping for something smaller, but I am looking forward to reading this.
I'll be spending time with The Brothers Karamazov in Mother Russia! Yaaaayyy!!! Looking forward to it! It happens to be one of 4 readalongs of the month we are discussing in one of my reading groups on Facebook!
I'm starting in Austria with Chess Story by Stefan Zweig!Vicki, I gave The 3-Body Problem to my mum this Christmas, I hope to read it some time in early 2021 too!

That's awesome! Apparently it's being made into a Netflix show. I think that is why there were over 20 holds at the library for it! But no one ever wants the disc version of audio books so those were available. phew.
