My #5 is I, Phoolan Devi which is a total departure from my usual reading. But it was given to me as a gift from a very dear friend before I left the UK and it is her favorite book. So I'm going to give it a go.
My number 5 is Prague Winter: A Personal Story of Remembrance and War, 1937-1948. After having lived in Czechia for a few years, I'm looking forward to getting some more insight into its history.
Heading back to Nigeria with Stay with Me. I accidentally read it in May though. Oops. I need to keep checking this list. Don’t we get to change it up in June???
Brittany wrote: "I jumped the gun. I've already read my #22. The Zookeeper's Wife. It was really good."Me too - I forgot to check this list and accidentally read my June book in May.
June 1st is swap day so I swapped out 6 books - including June’s #22 so I can be within the rules. I am now going to Portugal/Sao Tome and reading São Tome: Journey to the Abyss--Portugal's Stolen Children

Everyone will have until the end of June to make any changes to their lists.
I've got A Brief History of Indonesia: Sultans, Spices, and Tsunamis: The Incredible Story of Southeast Asia's Largest Nation coming up for July. That promises to be interesting: I don't know much about that part of the world.
Wow, another challenge that I can't resist!I'll try to read in July all the books numbered from the beginning.
My #12 book for July is Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight by Alexandra Fuller. So I am off to Zimbabwe!
I will be revisiting Algeria with Yasmina Khadra's Les Agneaux Du Seigneur (English: In the Name of God)
Just finished July's #12: 12. K2: Life and Death on the World's Most Dangerous Mountain (Pakistan) by Ed Viesturs and David Roberts - July selection completed 7/10/19 - 4 stars - My Review
Sandra wrote: "Yay. #3 for August and I go to Brazil for Dom Casmurro. I have wanted to read this book all year."Love this book!
I'll be reading First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers. This will be my first trip to Cambodia.
I will be going to Finland with one of my favs, Arto Paasilinna. I will be reading Le potager des malfaiteurs ayant échappé à la pendaison (as far as I know, it hasn't been translated into English).
I'll be in Germany for The Alchemy of Air: A Jewish Genius, a Doomed Tycoon, and the Scientific Discovery That Fed the World but Fueled the Rise of Hitler.
Somalia: The Orchard of Lost Souls is my September read and also another book on my personal “read the equator” challenge.
I'll be reading Carnivorous Nights: On the Trail of the Tasmanian Tiger for October. This will be my first literary visit to Tasmania!
Bluemoon wrote: "I'm off to Albania with Broken April"I have this one on my TBR list as well, but its number hasn't come up yet for me. I look forward to seeing what you think of it.
I finished this month's selection:14. The Race for Paris by Meg Waite Clayton - completed 10/3/19 - 4 stars - My Review
