Esther Ann Hicks--Essie--is the youngest child on Six for Hicks, a reality television phenomenon. She's grown up in the spotlight, both idolized and despised for her family's fire-and-brimstone brand of faith. When Essie's mother, Celia, discovers that Essie is pregnant, she arranges an emergency meeting with the show's producers: Do they sneak Essie out of the country for an abortion? Do they pass the child off as Celia's? Or do they try to arrange a marriage--and a ratings-blockbuster wedding? Meanwhile, Essie is quietly pairing herself up with Roarke Richards, a senior at her school with a secret of his own to protect. As the newly formed couple attempt to sell their fabricated love story to the media--through exclusive interviews with an infamously conservative reporter named Liberty Bell--Essie finds she has questions of her own: What was the real reason for her older sister leaving home? Who can she trust with the truth about her family? And how much is she willing to sacrifice to win her own freedom?

I'm kind of surprised there isn't a thread for this. I'm not starting it just yet but planning on reading it for week 20, a book rated 5 stars by at least one of your friends

I just had to come here to comment on the cover. I picked it up today and the text is actual glitter :O I can sort of tell on the Goodreads image but it was definitely an unexpected touch.

I am surprised there isn't a thread already -- I'm surprised that I didn't start the thread myself. This was one of my favorite reads of 2018!

Taryn (telizabethxo) | 15 comments OMG! I can't put this in my challenge because I read it last year but this book was so good. It has to be one of the top books I read last year. It was the least Fluffy book I read. I waited months for the audio book I think it was like 21 weeks. So well worth it.

Katie | 2371 comments I listened to the audiobook, so I had no idea that the cover has glitter. That makes me love it even more. This is definitely a good one; I read it on Emily's recommendation, and really enjoyed it.

Stephanie (cozyuptocrime) | 58 comments I read this last year and really liked it! It was a quick read, too (and yes, the cover is awesome).
