Author Page Request Turnaround Time?

I wanted to check and see what the usual turnaround time is to have an author page created. I put in the request about two weeks ago, but haven't heard anything. The help page says a few days, but I wanted to see what the normal turnaround time is, to make sure that there isn't an issue with my request.

I'm not sure, since librarians aren't in the loop on that. You might do a search in the Author Feedback group and see if others have asked, or post there.

Being the holiday season, they could be a little slower than usual dealing with the backlog.

Librarians have no control over approvals of Goodreads Author status. If you are having a problem with yours, you'll need to use the Contact Us link on the Help page.

Thanks for the feedback. When I went to the help page about Author Pages, it told me to go to the Librarians page to find assistance. Weird.

Is your book already on GR? Can you link to it?
If so, is it on this (default Scott Thomas) profile? https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
If so, it needs to be moved to a new author profile.

Librarians can move books to another profile, and add missing details to books.

No, I'm trying to create my author page, and have filled out the request form a couple of weeks ago, but haven't heard anything back, one way or the other. I currently have no published works, but do have a target publication date of my first book of Feb 28th.

Is said work listed on Goodreads? An author page cannot be created without any books on it.

It's a chicken and egg situation. I can't create the book because I don't have an author page, and can't get an author page because I don't have the book created. :)

In this case the egg comes first. You can just create the book and the author page will generate automatically.

Any user can manually create a book record, or start a thread in this group asking for one to be created (see https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...). Author status is not required to do so.

I found the problem. It was related to getting the book created. I think I'm on track to do that. I'll try to get that done this evening. Thanks!
