What where your top 5 reads for 2018? What book are you looking forward to reading next year?

message 2: by Toni (new)

Toni Mariani (tonimariani) Hey LuLu
Honestly, I read them and forget them, and on to the next after reviewing them. But most of 2018, I relaxed and played games, until November when I got the idea for several new books. So, I published Eve's Daughters, and now I'm finishing up two others; Black Amish and Retrain the Male Brain.
I pray they do well.
My Pulitzer Prize offering for 2018 was Chained to Love-The Darker Side of Slavery, and this year depends on which ones does the best overall.
Have a good new year!
Toni Mariani, Author

Hi Gwen, I haven’t read or watched the movie of THE HATE YOU GIVE yet. I’m a little afraid it’s going to be emotionally devastating. Guess I need to put on my big girl pants in 2019.

when you click REPLY directly underneath the comment you are replying to, it quotes most of the comment.

the rest of the comment, you have to COPY and PASTE into your reply using keyboard commands Ctrl+C and CTRL+V. here's a video. https://youtu.be/E3NQ_gNN0yE

same. i wasn't expecting the first section to be so heavy. i thought the emotions would build but nope. i was MAD, SAD, and, FRUSTRATED immediately. i had to pause and take breaks a lot.

also not in a hurry to see the movie cuz although the lead actress is very good, i am still mad at how very light skinned she is. they didn't need a Name for the part. folks were gonna watch it regardless.
