PLEASE CONTINUE to update on completed books!
Finished my S book (sisters). It was about as I expected - not earth-shaking, but not awful either :)The Christmas Sisters, by Sarah Morgan, finished 12/13/21 ★★★.5

I finished P-people
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens 12/16/2021I have been trying to read this book for over two years and have finally succeeded! I don't know how many times I have started it. The last third of the book was excellent but getting there was quite a challenge.

Good for you for sticking with it, Jillian! It was one of my favorite books when I was younger, but I haven't reread it in decades. I'm glad you felt the last third was worth it. :)
Well done finishing it Jillian! I loved it too when I read it in college. Right after Les Miserables in fact and I sometimes get scenes from both books mixed up. The two have somehow melded together. I don't have that kind of staying power in my reading today. Where did it go???

Yep, me too. Is it us? Or is it the books?
I struggle to read longer books now, too. I used to breeze through them. sighI finished Z for Horizon with The Silver Shooter by Erin Lindsey . It was fine. I'll probably read another in the series some day...
On to the new thread!
I finished T for Timepiece with The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore. Such a good book in a horrifying and terribly sad kind of way. Definitely not a holiday read!
