for me, too... but with most, the ones I like are worth it so I keep reading them, lol

agree wholeheartedly! A very good Canadian writer of short stories (and novels) is Alice Monro - something you mentioned looking for elsewhere Rosa

I can take I with "insect" - smaller than the butterfly there are also bugs and spiders and stuff

I didn't know that either! I LOVED the first 8 or so books but then my personal experience is things got repetitive but I still have a few more of his books and am going to give it another go. This prequel looks interesting and I can use it for another challenge:)

p.s. There used to be a very active Sister Fidelma organization, forget what they call themselves but you could even go to Ireland and they take you on a Sister Fidelma tour!
