I finished my O book. I did not like as much as I liked the first book I've read by this author, but I just discovered this one was published 25 years before the other, that explains a lot!

I finished my R book ruffles, 2 stars. I liked a lot of books by Ngaio Marsh, but some I found really boring and far-fetched and this was one of the latter.

I have not yet decided what I'm going to read next, but if it has an umbrella or uterus or unicorn on the cover, I'll be back XD

I give it 2 1/2 stars - approaching humor books is always a challenge - is it going to be bizzarro, witty, absurd, funny, really reaching for the humor, what? As an advice book by many contributors, primariiy from comic backgrunds, there was quite a range but it tended on the bizzarro side which is not as enjoyable to me as witty. Witty requires at least a modicum of intelligence.

I completely agree about this! Everyone's opinion on what's funny is so different. I'm a really hard one to please in the humor section.

I read it in college and loved it!! And then listened to it a few years ago. There are some sections that are a little long and drawn out for listening - there must have been 2 hours just on the sewers of Paris. But it's a great book ... have fun :)
