I finished my O book. I did not like as much as I liked the first book I've read by this author, but I just discovered this one was published 25 years before the other, that explains a lot!
maybe I could take R with ruffles? I think the pink stuff on the glove is supposed to be ruffles

Killer Dolphin (Roderick Alleyn, #24) by Ngaio Marsh"
I finished my R book ruffles, 2 stars. I liked a lot of books by Ngaio Marsh, but some I found really boring and far-fetched and this was one of the latter.
I have not yet decided what I'm going to read next, but if it has an umbrella or uterus or unicorn on the cover, I'll be back XD
Next: U

finished P for Poison You're a Horrible Person, But I Like You: The Believer Book of Advice
ed. Eric SpitznagelI give it 2 1/2 stars - approaching humor books is always a challenge - is it going to be bizzarro, witty, absurd, funny, really reaching for the humor, what? As an advice book by many contributors, primariiy from comic backgrunds, there was quite a range but it tended on the bizzarro side which is not as enjoyable to me as witty. Witty requires at least a modicum of intelligence.

Would this work for X? I can see the axles on the carriages on my book.

Les Misérables/Victor Hugo.Jan this cover was on page 18 of add/book author when I looked it up. Unfortunately, it did not have an ISBN to look it up easily.

Jan, I am listening to it. So far, I'm really liking to and now that I've listened to it a bit (~4 hours) I can bump up the speed to 1.25.
Jillian wrote: "Jan, I am listening to it. So far, I'm really liking to and now that I've listened to it a bit (~4 hours) I can bump up the speed to 1.25."I read it in college and loved it!! And then listened to it a few years ago. There are some sections that are a little long and drawn out for listening - there must have been 2 hours just on the sewers of Paris. But it's a great book ... have fun :)
