ekr (inkwashesout) | 1 comments Years: I'm trying to remember a book (a series, I think) I read in elementary school in the 1990s (1993-1995ish). I think it was published around the same time as I read it, maybe a bit early (late 80s).

Format: It was a slim, paperback, early reader style book, marketed to boys, probably written by a man. Written in English, probably published in USA.

Genre: Early reader/skinny chapter book (think goosebumps). Sci fi/aliens. Fiction.

Plot: I remember aliens showing up to earth, and the main character having to keep the aliens secret (including possibly an outdoor gathering with a disguised space ship?) and sometimes traveling in outer space with them. the most vivid detail that i remember is that when riding on the spaceship, it sort of flipped over, end to end, in order to move faster, and that had some kind of physical consequences for the human that it didn't for the aliens. I think the two plots that I remember are from different books in the series.

I had always thought it was from the My Teacher Is An Alien series, but I read a couple of them recently only to realize it's not the series I'm remembering.

Brittny Allen | 4 comments This sounds very similar to what I'm searching for. The book I am looking for was a series of books. The main character was definitely a boy and I believe there were different types of aliens that he hung around with- like one was green and human-sized while another might have been small and fluffy or something (just as an example). Does this sound like your book?

I think this is the book I was thinking of but I don't know for sure yet.
