Sam | 2 comments I read this book series in junior year of high school, and I can't remember the name or the character names.

It had three books in the series.

The plot kind of went like this:

There's three main characters. A guy from a small village, a girl and a pirate. Every year, people from around the world would gather to try out to be accepted into the "noma". It was a group of people that learned to harness their inner power to control, I guess, gravity? or matter? I know at they all get accepted and learn to use their powers. The girl sees in colors and at one point loses her ability. In one of the books an outside force attacks all of the Nomas and there's a traitor among the group and you figure out who it is. The girl falls in love with the pirate and says something among the lines of "He wouldn't want me, I have the face of a bun"

I've been googling it for years and can't find a match. I just want to share the series with my friend, but it wasn't very popular. Any help would be appreciated! <3

ollygollymolly | 1 comments It sounds a bit like the Circle of Magic series, but I'm not 100% sure.

Three young people and the Nomana, a revered order of warrior monks.

Glad you found your book, Sam. I added genre and plot details to the topic header (please do this next time). This might help others looking for this book in the future.
