Ferenc (rememburn) | 6 comments Hello :)

I have this issue, that I have collection-books, book collections for several authors, I don't know what is the proper terminology. So instead of their proper name here is the description and the problem: one book with ~6-700+ pages contains 2-3+ separate books (+ short stories) from the pen of one author. I have this issue with Jenő Rejtő (6 big books contain all his 20+ books), I have this issue with Edgar Allan Poe (I have all/most of his stories for instance in one book), and with some other authors.

Okay, you may say, that this is not a problem. The problem is, that for example, when I read the Edgar Allan Poe book (the full collection), I want to check in that I only have that one big collection-book, but rate the books that are in it separately. Is there an easy way to do that or shall I search every single book individually, rate and review them, check that I do not own them, then copy all my reviews into the collection book's review? Also, is there a way to choose that I have these individual books that I have rated as a part of an other book (like linking them to each-other or something)?

Thanks for your help in advance! :)

Note: This may not be the good folder, and there may exist an other topic regarding this issue of mine, but I could not find it.

Melaslithos | 1360 comments I don't think there is an easy way to do this. As far as I know, GR takes into account the book as a whole, not the stories.

There isn't really any way to do so. You can give an overall rating for the book, and list your rating for each story within the body of the review. Or you can find each book as an individual publication and rate that.

Also, this is not a Librarians Group issue, but one for the Feedback Group. Librarians can help with issues pertaining to specific book records or most related issues, but have no control over general site functionality or related issues. Closing thread.
