Ok, I just read through the BR thread (which was TWO years ago--I can't believe it!) and we were so busy commenting on how fucked up everything was that I don't think we ever thought of that. lol

Speaking of this book....

Ela, Lisa, Jean--we still need to read the 3rd (and 4th) books! We could wait until Judy's finished with book 2 and all BR #3 together if y'all want to. I'd love to get this series finished!

Kim--you could join us too if you get #1 and #2 read. From what I remember, they were pretty quick reads.

Lisa--I was just looking through our Pretty Stolen Dolls thread from 12/2016 (it's hilarious!) and you mentioned the book called Little Bird (Caged #1) by M. Dauphin.

We (you, Ela, Jean, and me) all have it on our TBR, but it doesn't look like any of us ever read it. We ought to plan a BR for that one too! We have many more people here now who like it dark, so I'm sure others would want to join in too! It's free for those who have KU.

I finished Making Faces and I did not love it. 😥 My 3*** rating is very generous. I need to do more research before picking books. I thought this was like the Vixen and the Vet and had no idea characters were so young. Also, the 3rd person narration kept taking me out of the story. Jean for me book 2 was a beautiful resolution to the first book. I absolutely had to read book 2 I could not have imagined not reading it. And I agree with Paula definitely healing!

Jean, I haven't read the second book yet either because I felt totally wrung out after that. I think I'm to the point where I need to now....I liked Cam as well so I think I'll like book 2.
