Jenn Keller (bluejenn116) | 425 comments It is expensive Donna, maybe that's why I've never read it *sighs* In all seriousness if it is chosen for me I will read it; or I will read it on my own.........Someday. :-)

Boo! It's not lendable...and apparently I was lucky and bought it once when it was on sale for $1.99 that's the only reason I have it.

message 158: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Yeah, it got picked up by one of the greedy publishers who charge an arm and a leg and then don't allow it to be lendable.

I read it in the olden days when we read books made of paper.

Wow, lots of great people just waiting for my tears to fall. I must say I hardly ever cry. I'm curious how I'll deal with this one, though.

I know!! I haven't read it either 😬..just checked on Amazon and it's $14...I'll check the library

message 167: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments It's a great book - tough subject matter. If you can get past it and it's not a trigger or a deal breaker, it is most definitely heartwrenching. However, I cannot see paying $14 to read it. And, I suppose if we keep hyping it, it's gonna go up to $15, LOL

I know I didn't pay 14 bucks for it. I must have gotten it for 1.99... or even 99 pennies. I am cheap. LOL!

I don't think I'd ever pay $14 for an ebook...end of story

message 180: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Yeah that's just wrong. A blatant ripoff. I wanted to read the new(ish) book Early Work Early Work by Andrew Martin
cos it looks pretty good, but I just couldn't bring myself to cough up $15+ for an ebook FFS.

But I'm not going there with Forbidden. I read the spoilers and I know I just can't do it.

It's ok... I know I paid $10 or so a couple of times, and that was probably BDB...it's like paying $30 for a hardcover that I know some people do...that's just not worth it for me tho...

I would agree Jenn. A good portion of the book was still so very raw and painful to read.
