Read-a-Thon #4 - Team 4 Group Discussion
Haha Silvia! They can still count as pages/books read, I assume. I'm not sure if there's a page limit on books completed...

Both were for the ATY Challenge which I have now finished!
I will start something new today just not sure what yet.

I don't think they count. I will read them anyway :D I finished with The Night Circus and you were right, it was wonderful !!! I think it fits for the reject option and ATY.
Silvia, I'm so glad you enjoyed The Night Circus. I chose it as my favorite adult fiction read of the year.
And with that, we have finished our first of the book prompts! (And we are one away from finishing the next one as well!)
Laura, we can clear #3, #25, and #37.

Great Kathy! Make sure you give me a page/audio update on that book!

I didn't get much reading done last night because of some family issues but I'll try to catch up today. We're just staying at home my hubby and me. I'm not really into all that New Year stuff and can't be bothered going anywhere, so we'll just take it easy at home.
Are you guys doing something special tonight?

I can't get back to the first page (in the app), so I can't see the opening post with the prompts. Not sure if Scarlet fits one of the prompts.
We have filled up all of the prompts, so we are just looking for page, audio, and book count now!
Great work team!
I read 200 pages yesterday of Modern Lovers, which is moving pretty quickly and I hope I'll finish it before midnight.
Marina, I WISH we were taking it easy at home, but my husband has us party hoping to a few of his friend's houses... not sure where we will be at midnight, but I'm almost positive it won't be in my own bed asleep, which is a bit of a bummer for me haha! I'd much rather ring in the new year with a good book than champagne.

That's one more book completed and another 197 pages to my total.

A Christmas Escape and I'd Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life, books that are 160 pages each.
My husband and I are probably staying in tonight too. It's supposed to snow later today so it should be nice to be cozy inside. Happy New Year everyone!

I really didn't get much reading done yesterday. I started onThe Last Time I Lied but kept getting interrupted as I was reading the first chapter and just wasn't feeling git or never really got into a grove. I will try again today!

Audiobook: 1 hr., 15 min.
Finished 2 books:
A Christmas Escape
I'd Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life

@Samantha, hope you'll enjoy the last time I lied. I loved it!
Final day today! We are 1,500 pages short of our last page goal, and 5 books short of our next book goal. I don't know about you, but I plan on being on the couch with my first 2019 read today!

I'm not sure I'll be able to finish more books but I'm working on another book so we'll see how many pages I'll get though.
Sweet! Great work this Read-A-Thon, Marina!!
We are now only 1,000 pages away from meeting that final page goal and 4 away from meeting the next book goal!
Laura, you can clear #30.

I'm with you, Emily! Although I'm not sure which book to read. I feel like I should start working on my ATY challenge but I've made no plan at all and now I don't know where to go 😁
And happy New Year, team! I hope everybody had a wonderful evening and a good start at the new year.
Marina, start with an easy prompt to fill, like Something New or the book you've owned for more than a year... or, even better, the book you stumbled upon since you have no idea what to pick up! If I weren't reading in order, that's what I would go for.
Thank you for all of your work throughout this Read-A-Thon, Laura! You’re been a great moderator!

I couldn't read anything yesterday :( ... I was too busy celebrating :D
I am reading The Incal. I will let you know as soon as I finish.
Happy New Year.

Don't worry. Thank you for all your work . You are really great! :)

Thanks for all your hard work during the Readathon!
Kathy, the max per person to record for the prompt is 8 books, which is why I haven't recorded all 10 of yours. But congrats on reading 10 books -- that's a huge accomplishment!

Oops! Didn't notice that. Thanks, Emily!

Wow 10 books! I feel like such a slacker with just 4...
Yay! We finished our next book goal!
I agree Rachel.. I just finished my 4th book of the Read-A-Thon and I felt very accomplished, until I compared my totals across the spreadsheet lol
Laura, you can open up #27!

It's a ATY - SciFi book (a graphic novel)
I also listened 15 minutes of audiobook... if that works for something :P One of the picture books I borrowed had a CD. A very lovely picture book narrated by Emma Thompson. It made me smile :) The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit
And because here is already midnight, this is the end of the read-a-thon for me. Thanks everyone. We were the best team :)

I feel sad that we finished with the children books. I borrowed a bunch of picture books from the library and I don't have excuse to read them anymore :P
