I finished The Unwomanly Face of War. I put it in non-fiction slot in our spreadsheet, but it could also go into a book set in a country different from your own. I'll be starting News of the World, which could go in the S-N-O-W slot.

Laura, can we get our grid updated. We have completed several tasks that aren't showing. 1,2,20 and 23.
Edie, same here with News of the World -- book club choice that I loved. And thanks, Traci, it's perfect for the S-N-O-W task. I know Erica is reading How to Survive in a Science Fiction Universe which would also work for S-N-O-W so we'll see who finishes first. :-)
A general update -- wow, some of us got some good reading in yesterday! Thanks and way to go. I read almost nothing yesterday but I'm getting after it today. We should hit task 14 today, 30 hours of audio. I will likely finish Murder on the Orient Express so that will do it unless someone else beats me to it. The same title will get us task #8, book published in any December or January.
Two people have books in progress for task 18, book set in different country.
A few of us, including me, need to get some picture books read, and we need to find a couple more books that count for the ATY challenge. If we aren't doing the challenge this year, does anyone know if we can just try to find prompts that fit what we've read? Or is that task just for participants?
I think beyond that, it's just getting pages and books in. It only took us 4 days to read 17 books, so I think we are ahead of the game.
Hope all of you are having fun with this. I am! :-)

I believe Laura said that she was fine with those of us who are done with the ATY challenge counting books that would fit a ATY challenge prompt. Based on that info, I have indicated I did 2 ATY prompts. Also, Laura reminded us that the last day of this readathon is in 2019... so if you have an ATY 2019 in progress AND wait until January 1 to finish it, that could be used for this task as well.
Updating the board now. I popped in a little while ago and didn't see an update for the specific grid numbers.
And yes, everything related to the ATY challenge is correct. You can count a book that works for a prompt, even if you aren't counting it for your personal challenge. And if you finish a book on January 1 then you can count it for 2019.

For the 30 hours of listening, it's only 5 hours max per person. I'm on the hunt for slightly obnoxious picture books for my little brothers future kid, so hopefully I'll get that tomorrow. Anyone have any suggestions (Business Pig and P Is for Pterodactyl: The Worst Alphabet Book Ever are my favorites at the moment). Also, on a personal note, I've had some really meh to straight rubbish books this Read-a-thon. It's a bit disappointing.
Oh right. Sheesh hopefully I’ll be better at this next time. Thanks, Shelley. This Is Not My Hat is slightly subversive and I love it.
Sorry I went missing in action. The holidays got a little busy and my mom ended up going in the hospital Thursday night. We went to Pennsylvania to visit which is where she lives and we spent most of it going back and forth to the hospital. She's still in there. Don't know when she'll get out but I'm home now (in Virginia). She has a myriad of things that are wrong with her so they are battling them one by one. She's 85 but in good spirits. She'll get out of there eventually.I finished The Girl in the Ice. I saw that #2 is completed but we can move this one to #18 because the book was set in England. I don't see that prompt is completed yet. I updated the spreadsheet. Double check it for me. So I'm at a total of 571 pages read and two books completed.
Welcome back, Joan. I'm sorry about your mom and hope she gets home and comfortable soon. Thanks for updating the spreadsheet.

Excellent!
I think the last one is (view spoiler) which also fits.
Thanks, Laura. You are amazing.Great job, Mini! Shall we make our guess? I'm headed out for a day of errands but if no one objects, we can officially guess tonight. Maybe I'm being too dramatic about this? LOL
Finished the audio book Then She Was Gone which gives me 9 hours of audio book to add in. If we get to the 2nd grid, this can count as a book set in another country (England). This is my 3rd book completed. Also did the Book titles - synonyms and antonyms game, getting all but one of them.
Sorry been MIA until now, Christmas got more hectic than I had anticipated. I did get 3 hours and 20 minutes of audio done over the past couple days with The Hobbit which will help with tasks 14 and 15.Now going to hunker down and read the rest of today.
The tasks for your second board have been posted. I will post a new board "image" tomorrow. It's getting a bit late for me :P
The tasks are cumulative so all totals are for the entirety of the read-a-thon. I did break the "game" task in two so that you could uncover #17.

I finished News of the World and really enjoyed it. I didn't add to the spreadsheet, since the new board has N-E-W if Erica is filling in the S-N-O-W slot.
Joan wrote: "Sorry I went missing in action. The holidays got a little busy and my mom ended up going in the hospital Thursday night. We went to Pennsylvania to visit which is where she lives and we spent most ..."Joan, I'm sorry to hear about your mom, I hope recovery is going well.
Thanks, Veronica, good to see you back. I've added your audiobook time to the spreadsheet. Traci, sounds good.
Laura, our guess for our 1st board is (view spoiler)
Actually, Traci, I'm going to put News in the first board so we can get that task completed. Once Erica finishes her book, we can put that in the first board and move yours down to the 2nd. Does that sound okay?Laura, we've completed tasks 8 and 12 on the first board.
Everyone, I went through all the posts and tried to ascertain that everything was reflected on the spreadsheet. Please let me know of any errors, or just fix them. I went to the library today and have a number of picture books, so I'll get my 3 read tomorrow. If someone else could read just one picture book, we'll have task 13 done.
For our second board, I took some duplicates from the first board that could complete tasks from the second. I've yellow highlighted and added notes to the relevant titles.Off to bed finally!
So here is my recap for 12/27:- got one more hour done of The Hobbit for a total of 4 hours and 20 minutes of audiobook time
- read 40 pages of Jane Eyre
- read three lixture books: Rosie Revere, Engineer, Merry Christmas, Curious George, and The Berenstain Bears and the Messy Room
I read the proper 3 picture books yesterday (Never Insult a Killer Zucchini being my favorite). I also finished Three Parts Dead which was published Jan 2012. It looks like we already have that one taken for the first board, so if we're going for the second board it would count there.
Mindy,All We Ever Wanted can fit #28 a book with sparkles on the cover. We already have Cinder for the prompt we were counting it for, so it could be moved to the second grid.
Will read some picture books today. It would be a lot more fun, if my granddaughter were here to read them to. :)

Great! I am a bit behind in logging pages read. I am reading several books, both with lots of pages to go... and lots of pages already read. Hopefully I will finish at least one today.
I finished a book of poetry for one of my challenges. Anyone have thoughts on how to count those pages? It was 156 pages but not full of words. Should I just count it as 156 anyway?
Traci, I would count all the pages. Even some regulation-type books have a few blank pages but nobody bothers leaving those out. Also, poetry is more work than a lot of prose, mentally, and I mean that in a positive way. So you earned those 156 pages. :-)
Veronica -- thanks, got it all added.Shelley -- I've marked 3 Parts Dead for task 32. Thanks!
Looks like we all got inspired on the picture books, so that's task 13 done. :-)
Edie -- agree about the granddaughter. One of my picture books, Get on Your Bike, was extra fabulous and I kept wishing my son weren't 28 years old because he would have loved it when he was 5. haha Lucky you to have a grand.
Thanks for the sparkles tip...task 28 is completed and marked.
Traci wrote: "I finished a book of poetry for one of my challenges. Anyone have thoughts on how to count those pages? It was 156 pages but not full of words. Should I just count it as 156 anyway?"I always use the Goodreads page count for that sort of thing so if it says 156 than it's 156. Like my motto at work "the right answer isn't the correct one, it's the one you can prove". I had to redo my counts in preparation of the second board so I am an active follower of this advice.
Laura, In addition to 8 and 12, we've finished task 13 for the first board.
Once we get our second board, #s 28, 29, 32, 25, and 45 are completed.
Thank you!
Everyone, I'm about to start updating the spreadsheet to include the new tasks. It might look scary for a while but keep the faith. haha
Finished The Other Woman This added another 117 pages to my page count. The book can check off #36 "Read a book with N-E-W in the title" It also counts against the ATY prompt (book published in 2018. Have updated the spreadsheet.
Can you confirm if it's 25 or 35 that you have completed? I'm thinking 35 given the order you typed it but I don't want to assume.
Other than that, the boards have been updated :)

Laura and Mindy... It looks like Board 2 has the same books that Board 1 had. Is this what is supposed to be happening?
Nope :P It looks like I hit “send to back” without deleting the old ones. I’ll fix ASAP.
ETA: Fixed!
ETA: Fixed!
Yes I meant 35, Laura, sorry about that. And thank you.For board 1, #17 shouldn't be uncovered, if that matters. And we completed #6 and #15 today.
For board 2, in addition to 35, we're ready to uncover 36 and 37.
I don't know how you keep track of everything. I can barely keep track of my one group. haha
All, I just learned that as we max out our audiobook hours, we can convert the listening time to pages. Maybe everybody else knew that but just in case...Also, did anyone besides Edie, Tabitha, Mini, or Traci play the Emoji game? If not, will someone please play it when you get a chance and let us know?
Laura, I didn't realize that we had to guess the book covers, too, but here they are:
